Game 3 isn't until Sunday night so the extra rest he's getting will definitely help. I really hope to see the team return to form if he's able to play. I'm almost expecting it now based on this news.

I thought this was interesting news though because the Thunder organization (particularly Scott Brooks) kept shooting down the notion that he could even possibly return.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/serge-ibaka-could-return-for-game-3-of-the-western-conference-finals-171131400.html

From the article:
“The abundance of blood and therefore swelling in Serge’s calf has reduced substantially and unexpectedly, allowing a level of movement and stability not thought possible after the initial diagnosis," Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement.

These reports all sound pretty positive considering what we've been hearing all week. He still has about 56 hours until game-time. I'm hoping he's not rushed back at the risk of re-injury but it's clear the team needs him to get past the Spurs. As we know, there's never been a team come back from 3-0. At the same time, a healthy Serge changes the whole dynamic of this series. If he's able to start on Sunday, the crowd will go nuts at the sound of "#9; Serge Ibaka!" in the player introductions.

We've spotted SAS a 2-0 lead, I don't see us taking 4 out of 5 even if both teams were completely healthy. You never know though.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I don't expect a comeback in the series, but this still made my day. Just hope he's healthy, I just want some competition.

Looks like he's starting today. I don't expect him to be a difference maker, especially after seeing him limping around after a light workout yesterday.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
