Grant Jerrett: The most controversial signing in OKC Thunder history.

Ideally they run with a 10 man active roster. Leaving McGary, Roberson, Huestis, Semaj and Jarrett as the starting 5 in Tulsa. There is no reason for a bigger rotation and the 1st and 2nd year guys can develop by playing instead of practicing 1-2 times a week. If there is an injury then you can bring up one of the others.

Andre Roberson is our only wing that has had a well-performing sample with the KP-SI-KD-RW starting lineup. Started 16 games last year. Why would he be in Tulsa? I'd be surprised if he's not the opening night starter at SG.

Xavier Henry and Jimmer Fredette both signed one year contracts today that would have aligned with our salary requirements. I think both players stand a better shot of being more useful than Jerrett, Huestis, Telfair.

Because there should be a lot of changing at the 2 guard as we try to figure out what works and what doesn't. I'd expect everyone to get their chance there throughout the year.

Jimmer is undersized and a defensive liability and Xavier can't shoot. Neither feel like Presti players or what we need. I'd rather give Morrow more minutes than make either if them a playing time promise.

They would both be more useful than Grant Jerrett. Henry is shooting 40%+ from the corners and was a 40%+ 3pt shooter in college -- plus a local kid. Much better investment imo than either Jerrett or Telfair that's for sure.

At the end of the bench it's not really about what we need, is it? Henry in particular would have been an interesting attempt at a reclamation. Still only 23.

Guess we'll find out. I'm thinking this will get resolved in the offseason / camp / preseason and the starter will emerge. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if one of Lamb / Roberson / Jones was one a different team come November.

Oh, I'm on record as not liking the Jerrett signing. I'd certainly prefer Henry over him, I just don't like how muddied the rotation is and I think adding Henry would muddy it even more. Honestly I'd prefer no Jerrett or Huestis and having Telfair (who has been a productive backup) and Henry with a commitment to let Roberson continue growing in the D-league. Was Henry shooting 40% only last year or throughout his career? He took 80 threes last year so sample size seems like it may have played a factor.

I'm comfortable with the Jerrett signing. But he's the most expendable player on the roster outside of Telfair. If there's a move at the deadline that requires a throw-in my vote is for him.

In light of the recent news about Huestis the Jerrett signing looks much better in my estimation.
