im a distant NBA from afar and I've been watching more OKC lately. I have a question for OKC fans: what is the deal with Reggie jackson? Is he wanted in OKC? is he happy? I dont understand. I see hes a restricted free agent but im not sure if he will return there.
What are his strengths and weaknesses?
Correct me if Im wrong:
Strengths - explosive athlete, good finisher, good defender
Weaknesses - streaky shooter, bad shot selection, doesnt really pass
thanks

Take Good defender off the list and you're pretty close. The real problem is that he has been playing for a contract all season and has turned into a lazy chucker. He's not a bad player, but he has obviously been thinking about what's best for himself ever since Russ has been back. Honestly, a perfectly motivated Reggie can be a solid starter on an okay team, but he won't ever be a difference maker.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

The predicament for Reggie, based on his own public comments that he wants to start, and Presti's public comments that they will match any offer in RFA ...... is that he has to play well enough to impress other GM's , and at the same time play bad enough to keep Presti from matching in RFA.
He's somewhere in between those two extremes now, the way I see it. He's a riddle to me.

Me ... I don't know ... I'm not in the locker room , so I really don't know what Presti's thinking would be on Reggie.
From what we've seen on the court, I would say he won't be back, may not be on the team past the trade deadline.
The sad part is, this team needs him, needs him to be his best. But I won't hazard a guess as to where his head is at, would be pure specualtion on my part with little info to back it up.
