Feels like we've replaced two starters and upgraded both times.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Just need a better point guard. Bench shouldnt be as bad this season with expected improvement from Abrines and Grant, and another star player to stagger lineups with.

Also expected improvement from McDermott.
Rondo would be perfect at feeding our bench guys the ball. Our second unit offense is going to be lit if we can find a point who can truly pass.

The thing I like most is his ability to attack the rim off the show at the 3 point line vs hard closes.. He also has a floater that I didn't know he had (liked this guy since his Kentucky days)

assuming we do not lose roberson, it's the best since the harden draft.

patterson's an apm darling. CARMELO projection, heavily influenced by rpm now, has him worth mid-to-high eight figures the next two years. productive across all sorts of metrics defensively despite pedestrian counting stats on that end. high 3pr (.500-.600) on league average to slightly above league average percentage.

a lot of raptors fans don't like him for various (what seems to me) anecdotal reasons. i've been a fan of his for years. assuming his knee is right this is a steal.

It seems his production has gone down in the playoffs which is where the ill-feeling comes from. The Raptors had some ridiculous +/- with him on the floor in his time there though.

He suffered a knee injury last year from what I've heard and it affected him. He has the whole summer to get right.

A lot of Raptors fans also think Derozan is better than Klay Thompson and is a top 15-20 player. PP doesn't have a ton of flash, but he fits like a glove and brings a lot of what they need, at less than half what Taj got. This is one of the best deals for anyone this offseason in free agency to me.

Couldn't agree more.

Probably the best deal made so far.

I think he's making less than McLemore got from Memphis.

Per nbawowy (2014-2017):

Patterson On (6593 minutes): 113.2 ORtG/106.6 DRtG/+6.6 NetRtG
Patterson Off (6846 minutes): 108.7 ORtG/109.3 DRtG/-0.6 NetRtG
Patterson On/Off: +4.5 ORtG/-2.7 DRtG/+7.2 NetRtG

If he can provide that kind of impact for us, justin's prediction regarding our starting lineup might be right. :o 8-)
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

From a Toronto fan. You guys got a stud at a great price. He covered up so many of our teams faults. If he starts shooting well again, he could be a real difference maker. Enjoy and take care of our sweet prince
