When do we start calling for Donovan to be fired?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

You have the get the defensive stop before offense matters.
No subs allowed cause it was a ref review
That’s right. They were reviewing the George three.

key adjustment by stevens: benching baynes and going small in 2H, forcing adams out of the paint to watch horford. it put a lot more defensive responsibility for rotating on carmelo who utterly dropped the ball. him and westbrook were a complete mess on defense the whole second half. this is the conundrum with melo, defensively. in situations like that you need to get more out of him on offense to make up what you give back on defense. and clearly that was not the case.
this game is a good example of why i think melo can be a force multiplier when it comes to westbrook's bad habits. when faced with adversity in 3Q westbrook started making poor decisions on offense, gambling / losing focus on defense / etc. and while this is happening melo is 100% complicit basically doing the same thing. he's not telling westbrook to get his head into the game, he thinks he can shoot the team back in also.
i think westbrook's been a mess the whole year, our schedule has just been easy. he's been playing with this flippant chip on his shoulder.

Can someone please explain why we so willingly let our big men switch off on screens? It happened in the playoffs last year and it killed us tonight when we needed a stop.

39 points in the second half.
Thirty-bleeping-nine points in the second half. We lost the second half by 25 points.

Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Idiot coaching. Literally took our rim protector right out of the paint and hung him out to dry. You knew Kyrie was going to take that. Should have doubled.

He's missing some shots attacking the paint he never used to miss. Besides playing terrible, I think his knee is clearly not 100%.

I don’t know if anyone can hang with Kyrie If the paint is empty but especially not Adams. This idiotic coaching is what put harden and Kanter on espn top ten plays.

This second paragraph is a really good and interesting point I didn't think about until tonight. But entirely true.

Sad.
Great first post. As a former nba scout maybe you heard what Hubie Brown said...
I'm watching the Boston feed, what did he say? Was he talking about the rampant HGH use by certain stars? (Westbrook, LeBron, Wade, etc.)? Ohhh of course not, that would be bad for ratings.
I wasn't here for this, but bondom's right—coming in with no posts and then bringing in HGH literally out of nowhere gets my troll senses tingling. Just don't derail and you're good.
Sorry about the bet btw
