I think they realize there's no more time to mess around, things are so tight with the pels/LAC/jazz not falling off. Hopefully the buyout market comes thru and they can get a nice run going as they enter the playoffs.

This team doesn't have a switch, they're just inconsistent.

They sure have been. But you'd have to be blind, or a complete downer who is afraid to show any confidence at the risk of being wrong to ignore their top end talent, and how important that is in the playoffs, when the ability to create something out of nothing is magnified. Current odds to win the west:

Golden state -300
Houston +300
OKC +1000
Spurs +1500
Minnesota +2000
Denver/NO/Utah +10000

People that know what the playoffs are about, and who see what the thunder have on their roster give them the third best chance, by quite a bit. Only those who like being socially accepted with their negativity on this board are panicking on them. Some/most of you guys sound ridiculous. Again, either follow houston or golden State, if you want to support the front runner, or be happy with the potential of this team. Seems like Vegas thinks they will get more than 8 wins the rest of the way !

Nope, Vegas can just see They are likely the closest thing to a darkhorse beyond gsw and houston, since they have multiple all stars, and individuals who can take over are at way more a premium in the playoffs since you play the same team every night. Vegas is about $$, Not names. They don't dare give them higher odds since they could go off.

You're right they are about money. Which is why they get suckers to get OKC. Its why they've made millions on favoring the Cavs all season when they're 18-37-1 against the spread. You're actually right but for all the wrong reasons.

Na they just clearly have a better shot than those other teams. Also, individual game lines make each game a toss up....future betting is completely different

Individual game odds favoring big name teams isn't different. Same logic and same reasons it fails. But hey sure when okc is out in round 1 be sure to bump this.

You can bet either side of the line, and game odds are -110 For either side.....you can't compare that to championship odds, at all. I'll bump your 8 win prediction to, as well as this when they win in the first round. Seriously, houston or golden State, you'd love it.

I said I feel comfortable with 8 games not they'll win at most 8.

And without Dre A first round out is about their ceiling. Is give a slim chance to beat a few teams. Houston and gsw not a hope.

Given the right matchup they can still win a series. That's their ceiling.

They have won 6 since this game. Thinking they will win more than 2 the rest of the way. you guys seriously need to be more optimistic. This team has a stacked roster for a playoff series! Golden state and houston are amazing, I get it. But damn. Predictions like the 8 wins are so common on this board. Okc is as good as anyone but those 2 teams (and maybe toronto they have looked the part). Enjoy it!

How does a team with 3 good active players have a stacked roster? We're as good as anyone not named Houston, Golden State, Toronto, Cleveland, or Boston. But being as good as middling playoff teams isn't exactly inspiring based on where expectations were and with no clear path to improve.

What part have they looked? They've had a net rating of exactly 0 the last 8 games and have played to my count 2 good games, one against the Suns. If you think they've looked good I'm not sure what to tell you.

And they have looked ability great.

Totally dominated 2 bad teams.

The schedule was clear when you made the point. Not to single you out, but just trying to point out the absurd pessimism on this board. There aren't many teams better than OKC

They're tied for the 4th best in their own conference and have by far the hardest remaining schedule. That's not really that great. They're still in danger of missing the playoffs totally.
