Well me and you agree then. Give it to the open man. I want to see Schroder break down the defense like he always does but instead of forcing a shot contested by 3 or 4 people kick it out either we make the shot, miss the shot or when the defense trys to recover they get blown by. Either way it makes the defense 2nd guess about leaving there man to help out and that little hesitation from the help defenders is all Schroder needs.getrichordie wrote:Mattv wrote:Problem is he isn't moving the ball therefore the defense is collapsing because they know he's going to the rim. Theres no doubt Schroder is a good finisher around the rim with a good floater but not so much with 4 to 5 people guarding him. We all agree that Schroder is / Can be a good player and could use more help from the Okc shooters but with a pass here and there to the shooters hit or miss will at least make the defenders think about coming over to help and would help him out a ton.getrichordie wrote:
I was pouring over Schroder's shooting stats from this season and previous season and one thing I noticed is that within 10 feet of the basket, if Schroder has space and the defense isn't collapsing the paint he's hitting over 60% of his shots on floaters and layups. I mean... that's a good thing, right? He also showed a proclivity in Atlanta for knocking down wide open 3-pt shots (c&s situations) at 40%. Problem is we can't get him wide open...

Nah, bro. We don't all agree. That's why I've been "defending" him. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "schroder sucks."
Let's say Schroder starts giving up the ball more. Who is he giving it to and what is that player going to do with the ball? No one else can drive but Schroder...
