If we can get 4/5 of these I'd say we did our job. Realistically we're better than all of those teams though.

I would add the game at home against the Jazz by saying that we must win 4 of those 6 games.

That's after the all-star break or I would've

I only watched the last 3-4 minutes of the 4th quarter.

How many of their 2PA were non-layups/dunks?

If George had this performance last year we would have been pretty happy. This year it kind of feels meh after how efficient he’s been.

I actually like the strategy and wish more coaches used it. There have been a few studies of this, and the data shows that it's better to not call a timeout in clutch situations since they give the defenses a chance to set up and prepare. That's probably even more true for teams like the Thunder which aren't known for their well executed half-court offense and imaginative plays drawn by the coach.

I can see grab and go but only with the express instruction that if you don't see a clear lane to the rim he should have called the timeout at that point. It all happens pretty quickly in his defense. Still, we've been decent after the timeout this year. Would much preferred to have had a set play than a transition opportunity given that we'd still be giving the ball back to them with probably 8-10 seconds on the clock in that scenario.

I probably would have called timeout but my biggest issue with Billy this game is leaving Ferguson on the bench when we couldn't get stops. Also, regardless of what we choose to do Russ can't turn the ball over in that situation. I would rather russ launch a 40 foot contested three than turn the ball over and not even have a chance to steal the game.

BTW, even though we ultimately lost, give Jerami Grant credit for knocking down a huge three when we needed it.

They hit everything and we kept it close anyways.

Put your head down and focus on the next one.

That's the key. They need to beat Orlando and Memphis instead of playing down to their level.

Nothing wrong with losing to a good Boston team on the road.
