min-maxing shai's boxscore after one game is a little wack, crow. he was getting to the rim with relative ease with rudolph gobert in the middle and shot more threes and more free throws than you would expect. this was an encouraging game for him as a scorer despite the lack of assists and the seeming lack of wanting to generate assists. there could be some concern, maybe, that they are attempting to pigeon hole him into a scoring role that obviates some of his other play making skills but i don't know how anyone could come away from the effort from shai as discouraged in any way. even if you're being 'cautious'.

Where there is a will, there is a way. As smart of a basketball player as Chris Paul is, Billy Donovan will drive him insane. I predict he will Latrell Spreewell Donovan before the season ends just out of frustration with his incompetence.

I am being tougher than others, getting ahead on identifying potential problems. That is what I think is worth adding. Either these things last in near term or they go away. What is it going to look like when he doesn't have "a career scoring night"? We'll see.
