Team appeared to struggle in the third quarter when it wasn't clear who should be taking shots.

I had hoped OKC would see better from Chris Paul. I hope he comes around soon. Otherwise.....

He’s made some pretty lousy passes. However in some ways I’m glad he’s not trying to be the man. He seems content to let other guys have the spotlight. I would like him to play this way and keep his numbers relatively decent. A little more facilitating would be nice.

I understand your point but if he does not become close to the CP of old fast no team is going to touch that 38-44 mill a year contract.

The article on The Oklahoman makes it sound like he suffered the injury during the game. That doesn’t explain why he’s looked bad every game so far.

Might explain why he looked great in pre season then terrible come actual season.
I cant get my head around how he could look so confident in preseason and now look like he does 10 days later

Good tanking loss again. Shai had a few good passes but I didn't love his shot selection in this one. He was forcing stuff (maybe trying to get to the line) but the refs weren't biting. Gallo looked good as always and CP3/Steve were concerning yet again. I don't think it's a coincidence that both of them are struggling. Bazley had some flashes on O but was getting attacked on defense. Did a good job moving his feet from what I saw just got bullied near the rim. Diallo looked good on D and on the offensive glass. The jumper is going to swing it for him but otherwise his play has been inspiring thus far. He's smarter about leveraging his athleticism this year.

They were really taking their time getting into sets on O. That might be due to how early it is in the year and lack of playing time together but it reflects poorly on the coaching and is something to look at going forward.

The weird thing was it seemed like he was the only guy Russ was talking trash to

It sounds like it was during the Houston game so I’m not sure what’s going on. He looks like he has no confidence.

It wasn’t shai’s best game but when you look at the calls Harden gets, it doesn’t surprise me that other players try to do the same thing with mixed results. There were definitely some fouls defending harden but several very weak calls. Im not too upset because it keeps the tank rolling. Shai also has a couple of shots that were halfway down but didn’t fall. His job is going to get much harder if Gallo is the only other player that can do anything offensively.

I think Diallo’s shot looks roberson level bad. His defense has improved but he’s still got a longways to go. If he can’t shoot then he’s going to have to develop some kind of skill that he can do at an elite level- defend, drive and slash...not just dunking.

Bazley is going to get abused this year. He looks like his personality is timid on the floor. I almost get the feeling he’s a little star struck at times. I do like his ability to drive and kick. Once he figures out how to not fall down like Jerami grant used to, he’ll be good. He seems like a smart player which means maybe he’s a Presti project that can actually learn how to shoot.

Yeah I get the Harden part but you have to know you won't get the benefit of the doubt from refs than Harden does esp as a 2nd year guy. I agree with not being too mad about but it was something I noticed.

Also agreed with the Diallo thing, his jumper looks even more hitchy and broken this year, and the free throw line doesn't give me much encouragement. He could be a decent bench wing I think as a garbageman type but hard to see much more.

Bazley has been aggressive in taking threes when he gets looks and I do like that even if it doesn't look great all the time.

I'd like to see them post up Gallo more instead of just leaving him outside. He made a lot of Dirk like shots on turnarounds over smaller guys last season. He also is good at finding the open man once he posts down low against smaller guys and the double team comes.

We’ve seen that Donovan coached team are only able to plug one hole at a time. Honestly, Gallo is one of the bright spots so he’s likely not a priority.

I understand. I just think if they make Gallo strictly an outside shooter they lessen his value to this team and other teams. He can help some guys get their games going if they post him up. He draws doubles. He will find the open man. Often that is his teams other big cutting to the hoop. Could be Adams or Noel for open dunks.
