shoot. the. ****. ball

If we could just upgrade Ferguson's, Nader's, and Diallo's roster spots it'd make this team quite a bit better.

It shouldn't/wouldn't take much either. I mean a handful of league-minimum vets would be huge upgrades over those three.

It would be in the best interest of the thunder and Ferguson to just give him a fresh start somewhere else. He’s got the physical tools but it’s just not happening here for him.

Sorry to say, but I"m starting to get the feeling that Ferg is out of the league fairly quickly after he leaves here. Might get a camp deal and maybe a couple ten days here and there but he's just too infrequent with the decent shooting performances and incapable of doing really anything else.

Does he get drafted if he's from Dayton, Ohio instead of Tulsa, Oklahoma?

This game against Boston truly shows the difference in having quality wing players who can shoot and score vs what OKC has. Hayward, Brown and Tatum combined to score 56 points while Dort, Ferguson (0 points in 26 minutes), Diallo and Abdul Nader combined for 7. Even though OKC was competitive in this game you can clearly see that the massive difference in the offense that the wing players for Boston were providing was just going to be too much for us to overcome. It's the same reason OKC lost in the playoffs last year to Portland with CJ McCollum outscoring Ferguson 122-25 in 5 games. I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what Ferguson does at this point they're just going to blindly stick with him just like they did with Roberson even though the overwhelming evidence says that these guys aren't really NBA caliber players and no other teams have anybody even resembling them, at least not teams that are doing anything. I love watching this team play and they've had a great year but man it's frustrating to watch this massive hole we have at small forward when they just gave away guys like Jeremy Lamb and Grant who would be absolutely perfect for that role right now. I'm just not understanding how they're evaluating talent at the wing position.

Maybe. Presti us big on those former top flight high school recruits. Perry Jones. Bazley. Etc.

Glad to see people are really starting to get it about Ferg. He not only isn't an NBA caliber starter I really don't think he belongs in the NBA with the current amount of emphasis being put on outside shooting and scoring from wing players. He basically offers almost nothing. 0 points in 26 minutes in this game. If OKC is going to compete with the upper echelon teams that just isn't going to work and it's incredibly frustrating because they were in this game and could have won had Ferguson and the other wings done anything. If Ferg wasn't on this team I don't think he would be in the NBA.

Tatum and Brown were both top five picks. Lot easier to evaluate taken taken there.

I would be ok if Ferguson, Diallo, Nader and Burton were all somewhere else next year.
