I'm.....pretty pleased. Our two areas of need going to the dead line were shooting small forward and a vet power forward. We got both while giving up a 3rd string center and Payne. Neither are needle movers, but they'll help. McBuckets can get Westbrook kickouts and Gibson, even if just for the rest of this season, eases the pressure on Sabonis. Also provides us with a much more reliable playoff option compared to a rookie Sabonis.

So pleasantly surprised by this.

It has to be Payne, Lauvergne and Morrow for the salaries to work according to the trade checker I'm using.

Yup, KC Johnson (Bulls best beat writer) just confirmed.

If Payne had any value we would have Wilson Chandler. Overall I'm pleased. McDermott has a nice contract.

Actually it's the best middle season trade we have done in years ( but our team is too far from being competitive to enjoy it)

Only issue I have is that McBuckets is yet another one way player. I'm pleased to have him- I'd rather more shooters than Robersons- but for once I'd just like someone that can defend AND hit 3s.

But we were never going to get that Wilson Chandler type with Payne having at best average value and no first or second rounders to trade. So Presti probably got the best he could.

Seems okay. Maybe eventually Payne figured out how to get too the line and we look back and regret this but right now I'm saying this was a good deal.

Well, bring on the Semaj show. Lauvergne was solid. Maybe I'm overreacting.

Gibson's contract ends this summer. I wonder how much it will cost you for him to stay.

You are. Payne didn't bring much to the table. Gibson and Adams closing games will be a huge improvement. Gibson is a great defender and another guy who brings his lunch pail. McDermott is a guy who will shoot the lights out. He is on the Kyle Korver career path. The offense is better. Kanter is comming back to replace Joffery

Why panic? OKC was never going to be buyers. You have to have assets to buy and Presti blew his ability to trade a first round pick until 2022 by acquiring Waiters, Kanter and Grant. Grant was the move for the season. Maybe he gets Nick Young for a 2018 2nd round pick, but that is unlikely. It is more likely OKC trades Russ than adds anything and Russ isn't getting moved today because it would stop season ticket renewals so he'll moved on draft night.

Try again?

This was a now move. But, having those bird rights could assist with a resigning.

Doubt we keep him. Probably hope sabonis is ready next year.

Good God.

Tbf he's no worse than cam this year, so at least we're not actually getting less production.
