With how deep this particular draft is, I’d be surprised to see them trade 18 for a future pick.

You think they'll draft three rookies who are owed guaranteed deals? I don't know, maybe, I just feel like it's unlikely. At least a draft and stash or something.

We either trade up for Mobley or stand pat and take Bouknight. That's the only 2 ways I see this going for us. We aren't taking Kuminga at 6. I'd bet 100 dollars on that.

Is it photoshopped? That seems like 100 million times too good to be true.

Woj said it's almost impossible to move up in the 4?

Not sure but it would be a bit surprising. Lots of these guys are friends I'm sure.

Also for reference, expected pick values (at least through 4 years) and how teams have drafted to expectations since 2004:

I kind of hope we keep 6,16 and 18 if we can't move up. I just don't see an huge gap in value between 11-12 and 16. Tons of good prospects in the 15-20 range.

Well I would do 16+18 for Sengun but I know most here are low on him :)

Drafting 3 FRPs and an early second sounds about right if we can't get the guy we want in the top 4...

Probably but Woj is much better at breaking news than predicting it. I don't think this means nothing but I don't think Bouknight going out to dinner with Sam is meaningless either.

If we trade with Cleveland, I would try something like the following:

Love, Sexton and #3 for Walker, #6, Suns '22, Denver '23, Clippers '24. If needed I would throw in another first (Houston '26).

That would get us the chance to move #16, #18 and some secondrounders for #11 and draft Jalen Johnson or Moses Moody (if available). Then we would have:

Sexton-SGA-Dort-Love-Mobley; Maledon-Johnson/Moody-Deck-Poku and could add more vets in free agency. I bet this squad would have a shot at the play-in immediatly.

When Cleveland gets Mobley, so we can sign Allen as free-agent . That would be a great addition for us too.

I missed this. Did someone report seeing them together at a restaurant?

If we can't trade for pick number 3 and we trade pick 16-18, which package would you choose? Bagley and pick 9 for 16-18, sexton for ty and 16 or cam for something similar to sexton maybe ?

Just the conversation between the two as far as I know. I was responding to the idea of what Woj says about trading up. It's kind of a no brainer to say it will be hard to trade up in to the top four. I wouldn't take that comment specifically to mean anything.

Not interested in Bagley but 9 would be nice if we can get Moody. Pairing Shai and Sexton isn't my ideal backcourt but that's pretty cheap for him. I would take the deal based on value alone. I'm not a Reddish fan.

Don't want Sexton at all. I think he may be a better fit in OKC than in Cleveland but then we have to pay both SGA & Sexton and can't think of that duo being good enough to contend in 2-3 years.
