Just curious - you guys ever regret not offering Waiters his Q.O.?

Rumor was he had an offer for about 7 mil, thought he was worth more.

But nope, not for a second, Abrines is playing really well.

He rescinded his Q,O. no?

After the offer, Dion declined and was looking around for more.

But you guys surrendered his rights? You had them and said forget it when you would've had to match?

In order:

He had been negotiating w/ OKC.

Offered 7/year.

Dion said no.

OKC rescinded QO.

Dion couldn't find anywhere

You'd agree with me that after last summer's signing having him play on the Q.O. seems reasonable?

I'd much rather who they have now, so no. Glad he's gone.

I don't know what you're going to do, but Dion still kinda sucks.

Did you finally play it? I thought it was funny. Check out the Heat board's game thread tonight (avatars). It's hilarious.

I feel like Presti "inquired" about Carmelo, but wasn't particularly serious about it. Seems like a ploy by someone to increase his value since Clippers, Celtics, and Cavaliers are balking at the current offers. IF he did somehow come to OKC ...idk if it would be better than Rudy Gay would have been and the defense would suffer more. All the contending teams don't want Melo for much because at this point all he can do is score and not play defense. Like a bizarro Roberson.

I wouldn't want Dion for the Q.O money, but I would definitely take him for what Miami is currently paying him. 2.9 mill is a steal for Dion. We got Singler on the books for 5 million, and he is almost unplayable.

Melo is vastly better than Gay.

It's hard to judge a player that is playing on a terrible team for five years. I think he can be better than what people think, but still won't pay a lot for him.

Hello Thunder fans.
Would you trade TPE and future 2nd for Tarik Black after Kanter INJ?

I don't see why not. Presti lets them expire anyway and I think Black would instill some hustle mentality into our bench.

Agreed on the Dion part. Getting him on that contract would have definitely instilled some much-needed continuity to a franchise after Durant's departure.

If we kept him, we could have been looking at a rotation of:

Westbrook/Payne
Oladipo/Waiters/Abrines
Roberson/Waiters
Sabonis/Grant/Lauvergne
Adams/Kanter/Lauvergne

I like that a lot more than our current guard rotation.

Another year in Billy's system and I think Waiters would have improved.

That honestly blows my mind that he thinks he is worth more than that. Who the hell is his agent?
