We don't need MVP russ, we need system russ, the guy that can create offense for everyone on the court and not have to force things to get the win

A whopping four minutes into the 4th and we've put the Pelicans in the bonus because we can't breathe in AD's vicinity without being whistled for a foul.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

In an idea world, sure. But the way this team has played it seems like they need someone to go supernova to get a W

What system? There was a quote by Donovan the other day that he told Russ to figure it out and do what he wanted. The "system" is Russ does what he wants and everyone else is just ball watching and waiting for their chance to play iso.

I think if we win by one of our players going Supernova it'll just validate some of their plays tonight.

Also Pelifan I'm pretty sure you've and 1'd all my comments tonight lol

If you check my other comments I've made several mentions to the lack of System. My comment here was more in the rhetoric sense in that he tries to get his teammates involved more and facilitates the offense that way

You’re right. Just can’t get the opportunity to win games back. So you gotta hope they get some wins they shouldn’t and hopefully figure it out down the line.

This. Just look at our 4th quarter. There's a reason we have been so crappy in the clutch. Just this quarter alone, Abrines contested 3, brick....Felton step back contested long two...brick...Carmelo contested 3...brick. We dont run an offense, and that's why we blow leads. There is no system. It's Russ and chuck.

Worst fast break I’ve ever seen.

This is just weird. The pieces and the talent are obviously there. How does the team look so good in the first 8-12 minutes (in multiple games) and then take a crap (for the most part) the rest of the way? Are other teams just figuring them out or are the Thunder simply imploding? And if they are imploding, why? If memory serves, it was the opposite last season, rough start, strong finish.

Exactly, it's why I'm so adamant to have Donovan fired. In the near 3 years he's been here we haven't seen any change from when Brooks ran things. We still have good defence, **** offence, run no plays, ISO ourselves out of games and are one of the lowest passing teams.

Add to that all the stupid **** Donovan does in a game lineup/timeout wise and I just can't see why we wouldn't fire him, it can't be a downgrade and if we keep with him now PG is gone regardless

Stupid three-point attempt by Russ 5 seconds into the shot clock clanks off the rim, and Adams gets called for a foul going for the offensive rebound. FTs for the Pelicans to push their lead to eight and this game is essentially over.
