I can take screenshots if the numbers when I'm home.

lol i'm not snipping rebounding, i looked at all the four factors offensively when he's in. rebounding just happened to be the only thing the team was good at.

i mean.. yes you do. they all do. all players succumb to age related decline. look at any nba aging curve you want, decline typically begins around westbrook's current age, especially for guards. westbrook is encumbered in this process by being particularly reliant on his athletic gifts.

that's why extending him to 200mm+ was so questionable in the first place.

Not a single team doesn't extend that offer, and the fall isn't what is odd. It's the severity.

we should have tanked. surely you feel the tug a little bit, now?

Said it before, say it again. I'm pretty indifferent.

We just have to resign ourselves to next season being a long slog towards irrelevance.

They have been irrelevant for two years. They will remain there until a rebuild brings them back to relevant. There is no definitive time line on that. Presti and some fans were grasping at hope beyond hope. It was clear to everyone who was watching objectively that OKC had no chance at returning to relevance until Russ is gone. That doesn't mean they won't still be entertaining and fun to watch. They just won't be relevant in terms of winning anything significant.

I mean news/awareness-wise. We were definitely a team that got lots of media attention. But once this is the 30 plus year old Westbrooks this is going to be the definition of sad.

Been posting on other boards a bit, you've been the only one to argue with here. I genuinely don't care, and I may buy LP next year and try to enjoy it.

There are no arguments! I'm always right and if you disagree you are wrong. The end.

i know i seem obstinate sometimes, but my mind can be changed. one example is enes kanter. i as very pro-enes when he was first traded to the thunder, i've always had a soft spot for bigs like him. several posters on DT started posting his defensive splits in utah, and after sending me on that path i found myself having a diametrically opposed viewpoint afterwards.

i also turned completely around on scott brooks after he led the thunder to a 9+ srs season after losing james harden.

i enjoy arguing, discussing, whatever about basketball because i learn so much. i didn't even know about that website bondom34 posted images from before the argum- discussion we had.

Subscription has been useful. And I don't think you change your mind in the timeframe I ever have patience to discuss

MAn i just watched that whole Melo interview.. i just dont get it. He has ZERO evidence to show he shouldnt be coming off the bench.

Sam needs to play hard ball with this dude. No more being all PC about it. You suck. You wanna start? Go start for someone else.
Gutted its come to this.
I remember sharing my concerns about his attitude after his preseason interview when he laughed about the bench idea. Some guys seemed to not think it was a big deal. Dont think anyone could of seen him becoming this much of an ****

Read on Twitter

Katz just killed Melo.

I'm afraid this will come down to the credibility of the organization with players and Sam won't want to risk pissing someone high profile like that off.

Bright side it's just one more season. We are probably going to suck anyway. Maybe Melo can land us a top ten pick by helping us suck even harder.

If the Thunder signs George to a maximum contract and hopes to pay in that mid-level range for Grant, Marks wrote last week, Grant would cost an additional $45 million in luxury tax penalties.

Yeah the penalty is massive. If I'm reading cbafaq.com right, each additional dollar spent could add 4-5 extra dollars in tax penalties. Taxpayer MLE money would turn into a 25-30 million a year (!) investment. :o

Would you rather that the Thunder didn't make the two trades last year or are you happy with the chance to resign George?

Its only one year then the Thunder would most likely go back under the cap. w/ Melo's $28 million coming off the books.

The grant trade looked horrible up until recently. About the time it looks like grant will be a good contributor we are likely to let him walk. We don’t even have the option to match him because we skimped in the offseason and made him an UFA. I’m not a Presti hater but this is really bad, in my opinion. Really bad.
