Harden was initially going to go to UCLA with Russ, Kevin Love, etc. and then changed his mind and went to ASU to be the man. So I'm not sure the desire to be the best player on a team had anything to do with team USA and no just who Harden was at the time. It wouldn't surprise if the conversations actually were Harden asking players if they thought he was good enough to be the top player on a team and them just confirming his previously determined position. It even could have been very simple answers like "yea, sure man" without anyone really pushing him, but Harden's desire to be that got him his confirmation so his bias could demand out.

I still say the team the year they traded Harden was the best OKC team until this year. Russ' injury screwed up that playoff run. Letting KMart walk as a FA was the end of OKC's first run.

JDub gotta play as smart as in the Minny series. Don't force stupid shots. Drive and take good shots.

Chet don't overthink on offense and hit those 3's and attack the paint like a "dawg"

Caruso, Dort and Cason everywhere to get stops and make it impossible for Indy.

and ultimately we need Aaron Wiggins to save basketball.

hello brothers it starts in some minutes. enjoy the ride. remember that this team showed enough power to recover over and over.

and most importantly, remember you've all been waiting 13 years for this opportunity of celebration. we know, organization know, players know, the arena will know.

they're only there because they are the fiercest competitors out there. they know how good they are. they're there because they can back it up.

really hope the arena will be super loud ! Sometimes felt they were sleeping when OKC was up 15+ or in bad shape.

Wiggins will log a few more DNPs to go with the one he got in the Minny series. OKC is undefeated in playoff games where Wiggins gets left on the bench. 8-)

Hope we won't regret this isn't a 20+ lead. Amazing defense but bad decisions on offense (a bit unlucky too)

What is happening on the main thread? There are so many salty guys who whine about refs. By their logic, in history there are no great defensive teams but just refs bailing them out. :roll:

OKC is playing great defense and it shows on score. We just need little bit more of JDub and Chet in offense.
