Also, just looked into the numbers as to the 2 guard spot:

Over the last 2 years, the 4 man lineup of KD/Russ/Serge/Robes has a D Rating of 97. If you pull Robes and keep the other 3 its at 107. Start Roberson.

Oh, and apparently Kanter was in Turkey a few days ago, so he is still likely gone. I feel a bit better for some reason.

Sorry if this has been mentioned previously, but how do you feel if Tayshaun Prince was signed to the team?

Meh? For the vet min I'd be fine with it, but I don't even know if he's much better than Novak at this point.

I'd be a bit surprised and confused. He doesn't offer anything and even at the vet minimum he is increasing the tax bill. You'd basically be paying 250% of his salary and he's not worth that to this team at this point. Maybe if they were to move Waiters and Novak then you could find a spot on the 12 man roster for him and they would have cut enough salary that it wouldn't be an issue.

I really don't see how he would make the active roster.

1) KD
2) Russ
3) Ibaka
4) Kanter
5) Adams
6) Augustin
7) Morrow
8) McGary
9) Roberson
10) Waiters
11) Singler
12) Collison/Novak/Payne

That roster is already tight. You are going to have two of Novak, Payne and Collison in a suit, or the D-League, on any given night. They would basically have to move two players and throw Payne in the D-League otherwise Prince is in a suit most nights.

First look at our new alternate uniform. Orange with OKC across the front.

I like the fact the image says "confidential" and yet it's plastered all over the net.

I saw it too, but seems like he's close to a deal w/ the Bucks most likely.

Oh, and figured I'd quote you all, if anyone wants to vote in the thread we're doing an expansion draft on the trade board, a few more votes for who to protect would be cool if you're interested :D.

Prince would have been better than Singler but apparently Billy Donovan likes Singler so I hope BD can light a fire under Singler this season.

Prince is not better than Singler at all. I assume people only saw Singler in his okc stint if you feel that way.

Singler on Detroit was very solid. Passable handling, great 3pt shooter, and has a good eye for the right play.

Just got to read Pelton gave OKC a B for the offseason, which is shockingly higher than I thought that he'd give. Good(ish) press from ESPN?

Prince would not have been better than Singler, especially when you consider our personnel. Singler is, without question, a better spot-up/knockdown 3P shooter than Prince. He's also younger and just a better overall offensive player than Prince right now, and I'm guessing they give you about the same amount of impact and versatility on the defensive end.

I wasn't a huge fan of Singler's contract when I saw we re-signed him, and I was pretty indifferent on us keeping him or not (and leaning towards "just let him walk"), but Prince would not be an upgrade over Singler. If this was 7-10 years ago, sure, but at this point in their respective careers and when you consider our personnel and need, Singler is a better fit on this roster. He was very underwhelming during his time with OKC last season, but he was immediately thrust into a starting role on a team that was in "scrap and fight and claw to get back into the playoff picture because a high level of success is expected within the organization" mode. He was under a different level of pressure in that role than he ever was in Detroit where they were a perennial lottery team since he was drafted. I'm hoping/thinking with a full roster on the court more consistently, i.e. playing alongside Durant and Westbrook some, and a new coach who is really high on him will make him play with more confidence and much more freely.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:
