Sorry Dom, Gobert is not a top 10 player. Like I said they have some nice players and a great coach/system. The Thunder have better top end talent and decent enough secondary and bench players to beat the Jazz pretty easily.

He possibly is, definitely top 15. They're more than "nice" players. We did this on MPN but they've got 2 of the best 5 in the series and better depth. They're really good.

I usually agree with you Dom but on this point, I will respectfully disagree.

OK, we did it on the PC board too, Gobert's pretty easily top 15. He's the 2nd best player in the series if defense counts. And after PG and Adams they've probably got the next 3-4 best players.

Do you think he can keep that up, or something close to it based on his past playoff performances?

His playoff career is 56% and it was 55% last year in the playoffs. I'm going to say no. PG shot 73% from 3 tonight and is a career 37% from 3 in the postseason. If he had shot 37% he only makes four and leaves 12 points off the board for OKC.

starters a net negative, again. i know it's not likely after a win, but subbing out either brewer for abrines or melo for grant / patterson would be wise.

If we're doing what ifs can we do what if Mitchell doesn't start the game on fire and they're not up 16-4? Because then it's a 20 point win.

Wait, what? He is the second best player if defense counts? I think that distinction goes to PG my friend.

George won’t play like this every game but Felton and grant can be significantly better.

No, and it's not particularly close. Look at OKC's defense without Roberson and PG there. Look at Utah's defense with and without Gobert. Get back to me. Gobert has, with zero doubt been far better than PG this year, and it's not even close to close.

I don't think there's much argument for him at 10. Especially if you count kawhi.

He's better than PG and KAT without question. I'd debate hi over Paul due to minutes and he's close to Embiid.

Both. He's that much better defensively that he's better overall. Being objective I don't think many would say otherwise (if you'd like we can try the PC board, I'd be up for a thread there :D)

I wouldn't. I don't think much of Cousins.

KAT's a trainwreck on defense. Look at what happened when Butler went out. Look at what happened when Gobert went out.
That's a pretty strong case. KAT isn't close, he's Kanter level defense at times and Minny's going nowhere w/o Butler. Utah's going nowhere without Gobert.

Are you afraid you may be wrong? Because I'm honestly interested. THis is the team you said wasn't talented.

Is defense more important than offense?
