I notice it most in when he tries to finish around the rim. The explosion just hasn't been quite there like we're used to.

It was there to start the season though. Currently he looks like me when we had a soccer tournament a couple of months ago and I was "forced" to actually run for the first time in I don't even know how long. I had like one or two sprints in me and that was that for the rest of the 15 minute match. The rest of the game I just tried to keep up with what was happening. Had I attempted a shot, I don't know what would have happened

He was injured on 11/5 and back on 11/14. If we assume he did nothing but set on the couch, (which isn’t liekly) that’s 14 days of little to no activity. If he was actually in game shape beforehand, he should be getting close to where he was before the injury. He’s played in five games since his return on the 19th.

I'm obviously not a pro athlete, but this sort of "physical decline" from a fitness standpoint seems a little bit much after just two weeks off, doesn't it? He was blowing by everybody before he got injured and now he's not even getting to the rim because (at least it looks like it) he lacks the energy to do so regularly. :-? One has to assume that playing a back to back did not do him any favors.

He's also still dealing with the ankle injury. Or at least he was limping during timeouts the Golden State game. This stretch of rest should help a bit.

Westbrook missed a 3-pt FG over two defenders and upset at ref for not calling, completely forgot his defensive assignment for Murray on the other end who sunk a 3-pt. https://streamable.com/3es4o

What goes through Russ' mind when he takes all those 3's lol

If he didn't take more than 3 a game we probably would have won this game.

Anyone ever wonder what is wrong with him? Seriously. Mentally the dude isn't all there.

It's pretty obvious what's wrong with the dude. Just look at the way he dresses, plays, and behaves. He's a narcissist. Likely a borderline sociopath.

This guys are all narcissist so that’s pretty much irrelevant. Have you seen Chris Paul and Lebron pregame-walk outfits too? They dress like they are all on run way of a fashion show. Kobe Bryant spoke about himself in third person in an interview.

This is going back several years, but do you remember when Paul Shirley had that regular column on ESPN.com. The guy was an end of the the bench/sub type big man. No reason whatsoever for him to have ego. But he made it pretty clear that every NBA player thinks he walks on water. He even described himself (as I recall) as "pretty well adjusted by NBA player standards." meaning most NBA players are not well adjusted at all compared to the general population.

Good game guys, I cannot believe how many wide open 3s OKC missed in the first half. We won’t get that lucky again.

I’m a CU fan so I love Roberson and can’t wait for him to finally get healthy. Scary sight that OKC is finding their tough identity again before he’s back. I wish our fanbase could fill our arena and be as loud as your fans are. Good luck the rest of the way and stay healthy 8-)

Thanks man. I think you will find everytime the nugs play okc they will miss a ton of open threes. Defense and terrible shooting seems to be this teams identity

I've said it before, but imagine if they were actually bad. Or if some of these takes were on other teams' best players.

following this team for nearly 30 years, and posting on the internet about it for over 20, i can confidently say that the criticisms and thoughts expressed on this board aren't very far out of whack. some people want to say the sky is falling whenever there's a disagreement or an unpleasant opinion. but it's all good. i cherish each and every one of you. you're all beautiful souls.

that said, deep down we all know what russell westbrook is. we can deflect as much as we want but at the end of the day we know this is a guy who's costing his team more than any other top 10 player in the league with his behaviors on the court. we can all agree on that i think, if we're being honest and put message board politics aside.

I kind of feel that Russ is the kind of guy who would run through a brick wall and if he can't run through it, he just needs to run at it harder rather that perhaps trying something different like going around it. Billy says he has a really high BBIQ - either he is lying or when Russ gets emotional his brain shuts down.

Yeah so we can't even agree on what Westbrook is. Because that's not accurate.

So who costs their team more than Westbrook that is considered a top 10 player?

Embiid (turnovers and dumb plays, and yea I watch him a lot), Paul is too passive, Harden literally quit, Butler just isn't as good. Lebron, Curry, and Kawhi I wouldn't argue, or Davis.

After those 4 there's a big group of players who have big flaws but big impact.

If you want a worse player then that's fine too. But yea he's either clearly better than or has similar level flaws to guys other than the top 4.

I don’t vent the full extent of my frustrations with russ’ play at times because I honestly don’t love arguing. That being said, I think with russ, Presti is looking at a bigger picture. It’s not just about trying to win now with him and George. Keeping russ, which led to keeping keeping George can be used as a precedent for the next generation of stars when the rebuild happens. If he had traded Harden, lost Durant and then been forced to trade russ, I think the viability of keeping a franchise in okc could have been legitimately questioned. As it is, despite the harden trade and Durant departure, Presti has managed to build enough of a positive image with OKC so that if OKC gets a Kawhi Leonard to follow up their Tim Duncan, it might work out next time.

I also feel a sense of gratitude to russ for staying. Even if Presti had went in to full rebuild mode after Durant left and we had drafted two up and coming stars, I don’t think the probability of keeping the next generation of stats when they become UFA’s would be as great as it will be by being an organization that is committed to overpaying for russ the final years of his prime and building the organization around him. Who knows where the franchise will be in 5-10 years If they are still here in 5-10 years I think we may look back even more positively with what Presti is currently doing. I say this as someone who favors rebuilding.
