AJ Griffin as the target.

I don't think this is enough to get to 7-8 and even less to 6. Also think it's very unlikely to move up to 6 because Indiana will likely pick BPA to add the best talent they can to their young squad. Higher chances to get 7 or 8 because Portland/NOLA will likely try to accumulate assets to improve their roster but I don't see a deal being done without including #12 + 2 future lottery protected FRPs.

Fair enough.

A move up to 6-8 range that gets AJ Griffin would probably be my favourite move in the draft. This guy is too much of a fit next to SGA/Giddey/Mann. Outstanding prospect imo.

Someone is getting a very solid 3rd/4th starter out of him . If he can keep that 3 point efficiency , that might be better than some upside pick

I'm very intruiged by Gabriele Procida but I doubt he will be available at #30. Wouldn't mind moving up some spots to get him

#12 + #30 + future first (Nuggets or Wizards) + Kenrich might be enough to move up but I doubt we will be able to offer enough unless we include a key player or our own future pick.

Just sort of waxing here as I'm feeling the same anxiety I imagine everyone else is. I'm getting the feeling we almost have to take Ousmane Dieng at 12 because OKC is destined to be the franchise that only takes players that are more theoretical than actualized. He might be awesome but after Theo I feel leery about quiet guys. I did think he knew what he was talking about in his film sesh with Schmitz but can't help but want someone who has more confidence from a personality level.

Okc have 4 picks this 2022 draft?

Imagine if you draft chet holmgren at 2nd and kai sotto at 30th

You would have three 7footers who is agile and can shoot 3s and block shots, pass the ball, and dribble

Poku, sotto, chet

And then if you guys get lucky and get wembayana next year..

Thats a funny line up :)
Center: sotto 7’3
Pf: chet 7’0
Sf:poku 7’0
Sg: wembayana 7’3
Pg: giddey yup giddey yup lets go

There’s a chance Sotto will still be there in the 40s and 50s

Just listened to last sundays The Uncontested podcast. The guest they had is a good listen for some insights on the draft.

Is there a possibility to get J.Ivey by trading SGA? Sacramento ? Detroit ? Does we have the obligation to take a big contract in place?

Detroit and Sacramento would do this in a heartbeat. No way in hell I would accept that kind of deal (except if Ivey is just a small part of the deal)

God I hope not. Look at cp3 with booker and Ayton. No reason to push shai away due to age.

now i'm worried we might draft Ivey (don't want Banchero either). Wouldn't mind drafting Sharpe but Ivey...damn.

Starting to like players from 8 to +/- 16 a lot more right now. This draft is deeper than I thought. I wish we could drafted 5 players in that range...Presti did a bad job collecting only 20 FRPs.

I honestly don’t care. I didn’t invest time in to this draft. Any opinion I have is based on me echoing the opinions of others. I see a basis to like any of the top three. The podcast today did a decent job selling me on Ivey who I thought I didn’t want. I’m going to sit back and let Sam do the work and I’ll be excited and hopeful at the results.

Fair enough. Presti knows better about the prospects than us and even if I like some players more than others, I'm not sold on any of them to become franchise players.

The podcast did a great job indeed. Derek Murray had some unpopular takes (not Chet biggest fan, very high on Ivey even at #2, low on AJ Griffin, possibilities of moving down to 4) but it was very interesting.
The way he talked about how teams are gonna tank to another level next season because of Victor and Scott Henderson was great too and he's certainly right. Gonna be a tough fight to have a 28% chance to be able to draft one of them.
