Reggie Jackson.

I can’t imagine an Austin Rivers would be THAT bad.

Who else would want an Austin Rivers that we could get value from?

Makes sense, they've got some connections to the Denver front office.

That’s good to know. How do we know they have connections to Denver’s F.O.?

Who else is available in that $10-$15 million dollar range that Presti would target on the wing?

I'd have to go back to before the Randy Foye trade to find the chart A_R posted, but I think it's mostly through previous transactions and common agents but they've shown a proclivity for working together.
Lavergne/Hamilton/For all were acquired from Denver in recent seasons

I forgot about Lauvergne and didn’t realize Hamilton came over from Denver.

Also, I have a proposed trade that I think makes more sense but no nerds will like:

Rivers + Jackson ($18.8M)
...for...
Roberson + Patterson + Diallo + Burton(S&T*) ($19.2)

* sign Burton for 3/8

wing rotation is:

rivers/jackson/ferguson
george/jackson/abrines

EDIT: Could sign Burton for more (5/15) and get Bender back if PHX is interested in Burton and Presti wants to get a project stretch 4/5 back. I feel like Bender could handle bigger bigs better than Noel in the future.

so..

rivers + jackson + bender

for

roberson + patterson + burton ($5) + tlc + 2nd

Suns waive Moreland.

Austin Rivers is terrible at basketball

bro. just go to this website: www.cbafaq.com. and read through it. you seem to have an interest in constructing trades. it's not hard to read through that document and get a sense for what the rules are. your proposal violates several, including s&t not being possible during the season and that rivers cannot be aggregated in another trade for three months. heck, even if you go to the trade machine on espn you can hover over the caution sign on rivers' icon and it will tell you this.

aside from all that, why in the world would phoenix even consider this. they take on long term salary of roberson and patterson and give up josh jackson for what compensation? diallo and burton?

Lol. Not disagreeing but I can see Presti talking himself into it. I think he could provide more than Diallo and Ferguson can right now.

They could probably do the trades separately if Roberson is included. And word on the street is PHX is low on Jackson.

I was under the impression we couldn’t get a player via sign and trade, but we could sign and trade players away. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for sharing that information.

No need to be condescending. Just speculating on things that could be possible to help improve the team going forward. There doesn’t need to be all of this negativity. It’s unwarranted.

It’d be really nice if you could not only point out the flaws in my trade but also look at how you could improve it.

EDIT: Roberson could be nice risk for PHX. If he can rehab himself back to 85% before next year’s deadline, he’s a valuable defender. If he doesn’t, he’s a $10M expiring PHX could use to make moves. PHX is also hurting at the 4. Not much depth. They could see Patterson being a place holder and Burton being a PJ Tucker lite on the defensive side with offensive upside. If they get Zion in the draft: Zion/Warren/Burton. Patterson is a $5M expiring. That was the thinking but you said we can’t trade Burton so...

And I appreciate that. Someone has pointed that out to me already, but honestly I learn better via discussion and conversation. One day I may get bored and go read the whole thing, but today is not one of those days.

You have already improved it by letting me know what was wrong with it. Thank you for that.

I don't think this is technically true yet since the league offices are closed until Monday.

I apologize. I was just simply expressing my train of thought as it pertains to the regular season going forward. I will heed your advice and take this kind of talk into the trade thread.
