If this keeps up, I'll be disappointed if we don't get at least some bigger name.

I would love to have Jrue but we don't have the assets and I don't think Presti is willing to go all in this year and start the rebuild next year (otherwise he wouldn't have signed PG13 and I think he will try to get the best of Westbrook until he shoots under 10% from the free throw line)

Most of these stats have been traded for two assets and change. Jrue has quite a bit left on his deal but he’s not as good as George, butler and Kawhi. I think Ferguson has really improved his value. It just depends on what new Orleans thinks of Diallo or a frp in 15 years. Let’s not forget how bad dipo played in the Houston series and I don’t think Sabonis was really part of the rotation. Is it likely? No but it’s not impossible.

We may never do a full tanking rebuild but we’ve got some tough decisions to make this summer. I say go for it if we can.. Jrue could play alongside Russ and play backup pg.

I think players like Jrue or Bradley beal with 3 years left on their contracts have more value than PG13 with one year left.

Maybe we can get him but our only asset is Ferguson so it's a though decision and I'm not sure others GMs are so high on him.

I may be wrong. If Ferguson has about another months worth of good offense I would like our chances better. There is also the possibility we should just keep him.

NOLA would be stupid to trade AD for KP.

If healthy Porzingis will be better than any combination of assets LA could offer them.

I go to lunch and the Pelicans are about to become the 2017-2018 Lakers and Porzongis might be traded.

I’m just waiting for KAT to ask to be traded now

So many discussions but no trades at all.

Don't get it...so many expiring on bad teams that aren't being moved.

That's the big IF. Would you give him a max contract knowing that he's coming from an ACL and that he's 7.3? I won't.

I am giving KP a full max contract extension. I wish we could get in on KP. But, it would basically be forfeiting this season. For the Knicks to trade KP they need to move THJ, Lee, and probably Lance Thomas with KP and take back a bunch of rookie and expiring deals. This would give them two max slots.

Maybe Presti can get creative and and find someone that would take THJ and Schroder in a deal for expiring contracts.

I’m genuinely fascinated by what NY does here. Does trading KP make them more attractive to FAs? Sure they don’t have to pay him his next contract which saves money, but how do you even begin to sell a FA on coming if he isn’t there? I guess they are really banking on getting a franchise guy in the draft.

I could see an under the radar team swooping in to get him? Especially considering that he has leverage as a rfa and is making it clear that he doesn’t want to be on a losing team. Hmmm...

Presti loves porzingis but the framework of a deal would be dubious at best. If it were to occur though... look out.

I guess NYK is still stewing over those comments LeBron made about not drafting DSJ

In their defense, they did probably win the trade with us.
