Oh, yeah! I remember hearing about that now. What would Presti’s motivation be for promising him that?

I'd suspect because that way he'd be less of an issue chemistry wise. Schröder isn't exactly known for being a self-aware guy. There's bound to be trouble if you take a guy that thinks he's better than he actually is and then give him Raymond Felton's minutes.
That’s a good point. It’s ironic because the same could very well be said of Westbrook.
Confidence is a double-edged sword. We all want to believe that we are better than what we are. This has definitely been a trend in some of the best competitors across different industries and different “mediums,” for lack of a better word.
I think every true competitor has a little bit or a lot of bit of Kanye in them. I find that most people who hate Kanye, really hate the fact that they don’t have that level of supreme confidence. It’s a hard truth to face so many don’t so they express their inner vulnerabilities as outward hate.
And that is getrichordie’s psychological analysis for the day, lol.
So, self-awareness is a spectrum. You can be closer to being self aware and further away.
If we rank the most “self-aware” players on the team to the least, how would you rank OKC?
