Vince Hunter got a cup of coffee in Sactown 2 years ago. But I liked him some back then. Either drafted him or signed him as a free agent in a sim league at the time.

Is it at all conceivable that Dakari is called up and in the mix somehow.
If you do not know how good a basketball player Gary Payton was just go and stand near him for a little while, there's a good chance he'll come over and tell you. - Ahmad Rashad

A GM, Coach, Player is a combination of good, meh & bad. Just because you note one part of the mix doesn't mean they transformed into a pure thing. It is just that you said a thing and not everything.

Nick stays, Dakari waits or goes, if traded. Nick goes, why not Dakari?

Re: OKC Thunder Offseason 2017: The Reshapening
I guess the question right now is if George was a gamble to keep Russ or a salary dump. If we do nothing else of note then there's no gamble, because George clearly isn't coming back to a team starting grant with no bench to speak of.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I don't mind if it takes a while to get the backup of situation fixed but I would prefer not to go into the season unsure of our starting pf. I agree about bringing in George to be a serious contender. If It takes moving Ferguson to get someone to take Kanter, so be it.

Which pf you think we need or we can get, via free agency or trade(which player you trade)

I agree. Let's see that vaunted scouting department that's so good in the draft finally find a diamond in the rough. The Spurs have done stuff like this repeatedly (Simmons being a recent example).
Hey, maybe Huestis finally gets some run. He looked fairly poor yesterday but worth a shot. I don't trust Doug in that role at all. There's more to playing than open jumpers.

I still have faith Presti manages one of either Gay, Aldridge or Love to the roster somehow or other, Ferguson + Kanter + who knows, (please somehow retain Adams)

Gay, Patterson, Favors, Kaminsky, Faried, Young, Randle. Not all of those are stretch guys.

Grant at the 4 isn't the worse. Even though he looks a little lost out there and likes to jump at everything, he still has really nice advanced defensive stats, give him a training camp and season there and he may surprise.

Not likely. Dakari is doing well in the D-League but he is slow-footed. Only way I can see it happening is if we get rid of Kanter and don't bring back another player at that position and Dakari fills that position until we get something done before the trade deadline. Even then, I think Presti finds a way to keep Collison for whatever reason.
As it stands, it looks like Presti is having a hard time finding a home for Kanter.

I was really displeased with what I saw from Huestis. If you are trying to get a contract and carve out a career, you have to make your open shots. Hopefully that doesn't continue. It's just the first game, but not promising so far. Have to wonder where Huestis' head is at. He has all the tools and has had nothing but time to develop his shot. Also, you have to wonder who are shooting coach is... Wait, do we even have one? If not, we need one.

Sorta disagree about Dakari. He's not someone that can switch every ball screen and contain on the perimeter but he's decent in the open floor. Not like he's a plodding Marc Gasol or Al Jefferson. He's pretty average for center speed.

Thoughts on Nikola Mirotic?

Thought the bulls were bringing him back? I'd be fine with him. Prefer Patterson or gay but he's a solid backup plan

He'd be...something. I don't like the thought of going into the season with pretty much Grant and Kanter as our PF rotation. Mirotic has sharply declined since his rookie season but he can still stretch the floor and gives us another semi-deecnt body to put on the floor at PF.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Just another to toss out but if either Morris twin was available I'd be alright with it, Detroit needs to shed money too.

we allowed 117 points per 100 possessions with grant at pf with steven adams at center last year in 327 minutes. most of the lineups with grant at pf perform awful on defense.
