Draft is under 60 hours. What do you want to do? Trade up? Trade out? Got any players in mind? Off-season is in full swing. It's time to start thinking about next year.

Kizz you should at least add a Presti photo as profile pic or something. Waiting for your argument about him being a bad GM.

You said the maths showed that he was bad. I see a 17 years organisation with 2 finals appareances (6 WCF?), one championship, 3 MVPs.

"we won right?" as I just woke up". "yes we did". Such a relief. no excitement like I thought, just a huge relief and certainly my best night of sleep in weeks

I want Presti to troll and trade 2nd round picks for other future second round picks like he used to do in 2021.

This speaks to how well Presti is at drafting people, how well he keeps to the organization's stated vision, and how we treat players. But the city really isn't given enough credit for how well it manages to keep players happy. It doesn't have a lot of advantages that the bigger markets do, but players consistently talk about how it becomes their home while they're here, and they rarely if ever have anything negative to say when it is time to move on.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

No GM is perfect, and I'd still say that a different GM from 2012-2016 may have won a championship, but a different GM doesn't have the team in a position in those years and certainly doesn't have this team here now.

EDIT: Also, he did learn from those years. He may not have been aggressive at the deadline this year, but he went out and made win now moves in the offseason.

I think the trade deadline is Presti biggest weakness....usually not aggressive enough and the only times he tried he made terrible trades (Kanter, Singler, Hayward to a lesser extent).

Also, shout out to Clay Bennett. Seeing him last night was awesome. Getting emotional after the win, him declining the post-game national interview, and then watching Chet run over and hug him first thing after the game - those things spoke volumes.

Plus, none of this happens without him. One of the best.

I usually don't have much respect for owners but it looks like he has a strong relationship with our players so he might be more active than I thought

The Spurs should take a big jump forward with Fox, Wemby, Castle and the #2 pick. If Castle develops a 3pt shot the Spurs could be the #2 team in the West next year and that is before they make any additions via trade, which they have the assets to do. Dallas will be tough if Kyrie recovers to go with AD and Flagg, along with the rest of their solid rotation of big men. The Lakers with LeBron and Luka are going to be tough. LAC has a chance to put up a fight. GS with Curry, Butler, etc. will be very good.

Some of those teams will probably not going to be good. There are always injuries, bad coaching etc.
I think Denver and Lakers are going to be toughest opponents.

For us, further development of Chet, JDub and Cason as players will be the most important thing. They still have a ton of space to improve.
For the draft I have hopes to find one good role player, but you can never know......maybe we find new JDub.

Next year, every team in the league will want our blood. It will be much harder.

Rick Carlisle is really a class act. The closest thing I have seen from Pop. I knew he was one of the best NBA coaches but he looks like a genuinely good humain being.

Daigneault saying to SVP "as great the team is, our confidence comes from Shai, our fearless comes from Dort" . Such a great quote.

OKC is the 8th largest city in Canada confirmed.

We lost some years wiss Russ, but Sam has learned the lesson very quickly afterward.

There are very few good players that don't have that as their default. It has to be coached out of them. The only great player I can think of that didn't have iso and getting their shot as their default is LeBron and he has gotten grief from media in the past for making the correct basketball play over forcing his own shot.

KD getting traded on the day that OKC wins their first championship is a nice touch of irony. The West is going to be tough next year. Houston had the 2nd best record and they add KD. Denver will still be Denver with Jokic, Murray, etc. Minny is going to be tough. The Spurs should take a big jump forward with Fox, Wemby, Castle and the #2 pick. If Castle develops a 3pt shot the Spurs could be the #2 team in the West next year and that is before they make any additions via trade, which they have the assets to do. LAC has a chance to put up a fight. GS with Curry, Butler, etc. will be very good. Phoenix has a chance to be very strong if Green continues to develop and they nail the #10 pick with Booker and if Beal is healthy for the playoffs they could be a tough out.

The East doesn't look to be as strong with Boston and Indy both taking significant blows due to injury. What would be a wild shift would be if LeBron went back to the East to give himself a significantly better chance at making the Finals again. I could see LeBron trying to force his way to Orlando or Detroit if he doesn't want to fight with the juggernauts in the West. It could be a very interesting off-season.

One of our games against Indiana had a very low amount of pass made. I don’t think that’s just a star thing , but probably something to note.

I don’t think we will see another LeBron trade before he retires though. He’s only going east for a sure thing title . Don’t think that there’s such an option with salary matching available and decent enough asset to give up to match his value.

KD is at that age whereby him missing more games is a big worry for Houston though.

serious question: if our entire team is traded tomorrow, which jerseys are going to the rafters? Shai obviously is a lock but I could make a case that right now it's more likely Dort's jersey gets retired over Jdub (if this ends tomorrow)

Just retire #2.0 with ThunderU on the back
