Ok, you win I guess. Feel better? Or do you feel better when you lose? I’m confused about that part.

Not to be a jerk but you know what'd be swell? If we weren't at each others throats after wins too.

As I’m confused on why you feel you need to be the positivity police. We almost lost at home to a team missing most of their best players. Why can’t I call it like I see it without you taking offense at everything that isn’t positive? You want to read positive comments by me? Go read the Golden State thread or the comments I made before the season started. My comments currently reflect this teams performances so far, not some delusion of what I wish were true.

C'mon guys. It wasn't the prettiest win, but PG went 2-17 and we came away with the win.
Spurs are a hard team to beat regardless of who is playing.

The defense was pretty solid considering the only spurs that shot well were Murray and Bertans. Steven is currently the crown holder for the team on a night to night basis. It was funny that he probably got the loudest ovation from the crowd all game when he checked back in during the 4th. I really hope he get the recognition he deserves in All-star consideration and All-NBA teams this year.

I'll take the wins anyway they come. Utah is next and that game will probably be a close game as well. If they were to win every game in December, but the margin of victory averaged out to be 3 points, that sounds just fine to me.

What is confusing to you about people not feeling inspired by barely beating Bryn Forbes and Joffrey Lauvergne?

Nothing confusing about pessimism at all. To each his own. I will keep my optimism to myself, take care.

If the team plays well then that happens. See: Golden State.

If they keep playing like crap then there will be an eternal schism between the optimists and realists/pessimists.

36 points in a half and having to survive a Brandon Paul wide open buzzer beater tends to drag the mood down.

I'm not saying they were great, but it wasn't the traditional 2nd half. The ball still moved, they missed a ton of decent shots and Bildo benched Adams (that's really my only negative). If you tell me PG goes 2-17 and they win I'm shocked.

To add, they gave up the lead and actually didn't quit. It wasn't pretty, but I'm not going to complain tonight, they lost a few they should have won too.

Edited to add if we're going by minutes Green and Pau were out there in the first half and mostly dominated by OKC. Yeah they were shorthanded but it's a win.

No need to leave. Optimism is appreciated, but when optimism/pessimism turns to condescending remarks toward those that don’t share your views, it becomes contentious.

Yes, I’m referring to myself as well. This season has been a massive disappointment to me thus far. I really don’t want to come on here and argue as it just makes me feel even more pissed about this team. Keep your optimism around.

I'd argue they blew this game down things stretch, it's just the spurs were down to Brandon Paul so they couldn't capitalize on it. This isn't quite beating a D-league team in the final seconds, but it's pretty close. Spurs 5 leaders in minutes were
Dajounte Murray
Brandon Paul
Bryn Forbes
Davis Bertans
Joffrey Lauvergne

And? They didn’t have a choice in who SAS put on the floor.

They got the W. That’s all that matters. It’s progress considering how many they choked away.

I stay positive by surrounding myself with positive people. Like you said, maybe a message board isn’t the place for me. Try and enjoy the rest of the season guys.

What does that matter? They still handed the spurs opportunities, they still gave the game away, the spurs just didn't have the players capable of taking it.

The win is important if they ever figure out how to play up to their capabilities. The way the game unfolded doesn’t inspire much confidence that this teams play is that far removed from what we saw in Dallas and Orlando.

Why does getting the W matter? Is that what you’re asking?

To paraphrase Slick: 'Close wins are mostly luck.' against Manny, If Wiggins doesn't that game winning three, the outcome changes but the way we played doesn't. So yes, we got a win, but we still gave away a lead, couldn't score in the second half, and handed the other team a great opportunity in the closing stretch. Being encouraged by increased movement is nice, but it's really just a silver lining in another poorly played game.

Eh. I don't think you take much away from this other than PG13 shooting like hammered dog crap and us collectively farting out a horrible FT%.

This team is so riveting to follow. Like a disaster movie is riveting to follow. Highs. Lows. Lots of tragedy and destruction all around.

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
