We already know we have a bad coach but Westbrook was beyond garbage tonight. We may have won with Felton instead of him.

Just so I'm not accused to disappearing, this was a pathetic loss. That said, they split the Bos/Tor roadtrip, and just won in toronto 2 days ago. Unfortunately, at least in the regular season, they play up/down to their competition. Cant wait to see the playoff rotation....praying it isn't this.

Melo was a team high at +11 and probably played his best defensive game of the year. The main issue was the offese and again just trash rotations by Donovan. He's in his 3rd season and still hasn't understood that 'UH, LET ME THROW A LITTLE SOMETHING OUT THERE' is not coaching.
My comments aren’t based on one game, although they are slightly motivated by missed free throws.

For the love of God can we please stop this 11 man rotation nonsense. It's embarassing. Just pick your wing backups and give them a constant role.

Did the refs screw OKC? It would fit the “NBA is out to screw the Raptors because Toronto is a zero market for US tv” narrative. The NBA would rather Boston finish first and wants Cleveland in finals etc. To help screw Toronto, Boston needs to win, so OKC needs to lose.

Ferguson shouldn't play for the season anymore. He's terrible and we are losing some trade value.

Re: 3/20 - POSTGAME | Oklahoma City Thunder (99) - (100) Boston Celtics
Eight our last 10 games are against teams above .500.
This team sucks. At the absolute best we go 5-5 in our last 10 and backslide all the way to the 8-seed. This was an absolute must-win against the Celtics D-Squad and we blow a 5-point lead with 20-seconds to go. If Rozier misses his three, we win. And don't get me started with Morris' three. That was a crap shot. Not an impossible shot, but a crap shot. There were about 10 different things that had to go right for the Celtics in the final 30 seconds in order to pull out a win and all 10 of them went the Celtics way. Seriously, if just 9 of 10 go their way, we win.

Next 2 games are crucial now, that's for sure. And we match up so bad against Portland that I'm pessimistic.

+5.8 NetRtG with Abrines+Huestis (103 minutes)
-3.8 NetRtG with Ferguson+Huestis (81 minutes)
+4.1 NetRtG with Ferguson+Abrines (19 minutes)
The problem is not so much the ball bench unit but how we get there. Instead of using the role players as kind of 'stopgaps', he's forcing the starters into even longer stretches and then goes straight to all bench lineups even though Russ has shown that he can lead bench squads (+3.2 NetRtG). And then with all this 'Let's play Ferguson no matter what, Abrines only in the 4th quarter and Huestis only on Tuesdays, Fridays and every 2nd Sunday' nonsense

Re: 3/20 - POSTGAME | Oklahoma City Thunder (99) - (100) Boston Celtics
Not that my complete and total juvenile freakout/meltdown that resulted in me waking up my 20-month old is excusable in any way, because it's not, but this at least explains in some serendipitous way why this loss bothered me so much -- and no, that doesn't make complete sense because serendipity has something to do with happy/fortunate happenstances.
Off I go to spend the rest of my evening feeling like a huge a** because I woke up my daughter after a juvenile meltdown because of a bleeping game.
I hate sports.

Trade him Abrines and Singler for Lee
Knowing the Knicks they probably turn it down b/c they have convinced themselves that THJ is a budding all star

Even worse! This starts a backslide that ends in a 7-seed or 8-seed and we have to endure four games of this pathetically disciplined, pathetically coached team lose by an average of 15-20 points to the Warriors or Rockets; the two teams I think most Thunder fans hate more than any other team in the NBA.
Do what I did, disengage emotionally. Tonight I watched about 5 minutes and shortly plan on watching NFL network til bed. I just can't anymore.
I did. For so long, too.
I hadn't fully watched a Thunder game since January. I realized that I can't fall asleep before midnight after a Thunder loss and I have a kid and a job that I have to wake-up for at 6:00 if I want to have time to get ready and have a few minutes of "zen" time in the morning.
I'm a teacher so I'm on spring break this week and I decided to watch. I thought there was no way we'd lose to the Celtics D-Squad because it seemed like we had our crap together. I was going to enjoy a full evening of NBA: watch us beat the Celtics depleted team and then root on the Rockets so we'd pull one game closer to the 3-seed.
That backfired. We have 10-14 games left in our season. I'm not watching another one. There's several reasons I mentally checked out on this season 2-3 months ago and tonight I was harshly reminded why.

Then you should probably watch the local team coached by Spo. That guy is pretty solid.

And the moron decided to get extra "cute" by throwing out an all bench lineup (essentially) that led to the Celtics cutting a 9-point deficit to 2-points in about a minute during the final minute-ish of the third quarter.
Fire Billy Donovan....
Now.

This says the Abrines Huestis Felton Patterson Grant lineup (103 minutes) has a +5.8 rating. Did not expect that.
Replace Huestis with PG? -23.4. Didn’t expect that either
The only other negative lineup is Ferguson with the starters -6.9.

Yep. Spo is on a completely different level than Donovan as an NBA coach. I'd have to check, but I think at this point I'm pretty sure I'd take about 25 current coaches over Donovan and probably another 5-10 assistants over him, too.

Yep, I'm with ya. Was ready to watch a little and now this one. Glad I have an excuse if they're not on national TV, and Penn State won their NIT game tonight.
