This loss falls at the feet at Billy Donovan and Paul George.

Anyone who thinks this team has the mental fortitude to do anything significant in the playoffs is kidding themselves.

you’d think that when Jerami is playing poorly and getting wrecked by Sabonis that Markieff would take his minutes late when he’s been on his game.... but you know, Donovan

This isn’t the worst loss of the season but it’s the most disappointing. Im tired of wasting my time with this team. Joke is on me.

That's an extremely frustrating, painful loss.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Don't think mental is our issue. We won most big games of the year (against rivals like Jazz, Blazers, Houston etc.). We are short and we need Westbrook and PG to play well at the same time to win a playoff series though

It was pretty clear that he was tired (he was so slow to get up to go to the free throw line). But Russ and George seemed to believe this was PG13's night...stupid

Re: 3/14 | G69: Oklahoma City Thunder at Indiana Pacers - 6PM CST
OKC had no business losing this game.
I'm so damn tired of watching Billy Donovan kill his team's momentum with his irrational rotations.
Nader is playing well, has size, and the Thunder were on a roll with him in the game.....Donovan benches him for the final 5 minutes.
Schroeder wasn't doing much of anything on offense, is a defensive liability against the Pacers bigger lineup...Donovan brings him in to finish the game.

I'm not buying the fatigue excuse. He was just out there making dumb decisions.

Couple of thoughts
1. How does Scott Foster have a job?
2. Silly fouls, silly fouls, silly fouls

That was an unnecessary gift to the Pacers.
I hope it helps them secure the third spot, at least.
As frustrating as this game was, I think there are still some positive things to take away from this game.
Westbrook-Adams pick an roll can still work really well.
Staggering Westbrooks and Georges minutes with fitting units has been shown to be possible as well.

Anyone who thinks Schröder is even close to being a good nba player is a complete moron and just needs to go away. But it’s ok because hey, maybe in three weeks he will make a bunch of floaters in the fourth. Amateur.

I only boxscore watched the entire game and I'm having a really difficult time stomaching this one.
Really glad I didn't watch or I might be sick.

Exactly. Instead of keeping thick-bodies players on Sabonis who can out-muscle him, Donovan should have mandated that either Adams or Morris play him at all times.

He was REALLY tired and not faking it. But they took it personal like ''PG13 needs to beat his ex team''. Westbrook barely passed half court that he immediately passed the ball to George instead of making some average play.
Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
