No Micic or Bertans? Weird

Like Dieng so far...he's making some mistakes but he's less scared

Bertans is unlikely to see much playing time due to the contractual consequences. He'll be saved for when injures force them to play him. They want to limit him to 60, or less, regular season games. If they limit Bertans to 60 games they can trade him as a $5M cap hit to a team with a couple of 2nd round picks. If he plays 62 games he jumps to $16M next year which would be much harder to find someone to take that cap hit. Unless we are operating under the assumption that Presti plans on sitting on cap space forever instead of trying to win a championship in the near future.

Shai is a superstar.
JDub is great.
Chet is struggling.
Dieng improved a lot.

...and I like the fact that Dort is taking less shots (won't last)

50% from 3 is obviously not sustainable but Cason and Dieng shot mechanic looking good is encouraging. Glad Shai took more 3's too.

Glad Presti drafted Wallace like I always wanted him to.

Happy if we can win one of the next two games (@Cleveland, against Nuggets).

Very difficult to draw some conclusions after one game but it looks pretty clear that our coaching staff wants us to take more 3's.

I had no clue before the season how we would give enough playing time to our guards and it looks even worse now.

Micic not playing is another mystery. Still think Presti signed him to trade him rather sooner than later.

It was a very good game for us but Chet was terrible. I think he will bounce back against the Cavs even if facing Mobley isn't an easy task.

Rockets lost by 30. That coin flip in the next lottery is gonna be stressful. Hope we get lucky for once. Thought we could get pick 8 or 9 after they signed Van Vleet and Brooks but they are a mess.

I had the game on but didn't get to really "watch" it because of other responsibilities. but it sounded like we just sort of manufactured a win. An encouraging start.

i don't think chet was terrible in this game. most of his time defensively with vuc on the court was spent on the perimeter. we played some weird zones. it was an odd defensive game plan that resulted in chicago jump shots. he got bodied a bit but that's gonna happen. his presence on any pnr discourages forays into the paint so much more than any player we've had since ibaka. he made two threes, made some nice passes. but the highlights anyone will see is the vuc dunk and one drummond play.

I'll never get used to seeing these posts with that dumb "X" with that cheesy font that looks like something off of Axe body spray or some other such cheap wal-mart level cologne for middle school age boys.

Good to know about Dieng .
Chet was our whole of last season. Give him time.

I can live with Dort being 4th or 5th most in shots .

Give them time to win themselves into a pick for us .

curious to know what's up with micic

i'm bullish on him

cason had the game he needed to start with confidence

not worried with chet at all. he's going to oscillate offensively all season, but the defensive impact is already popping up

Very good game from OKC (Shai,Giddey,JDub,Joe;Wallace;Dieng).

But don't overate this victory, because Chicago is not a good team and have poor coaching.
