I would take Bosh if he were cheaper, but not for max. Bosh would take Green's spot and move him to the bench or lead to him being traded. No way could Green play 5 effectively. We need a rebounding center who can play some defense.

Green would be the 6th man. I`m sure Durant, Green, and Bosh would occasionally play alongside each other in a small ball unit too.

A small ball unit of Durant Green and Bosh could do some damage for sure ... but at the end of the day i think your team is better suited to getting a rebounding center... im sure Tyson Chandler would have fit the bill (who by the way is a 2010 free agent i believe)

Ideally, the Thunder would have someone like Chandler and someone like Bosh. If the best they can do is Bosh and Green or Chandler and Green, no one will really complain though. As said, Green makes a lot of sense as a 6th man though.

i have a gut feeling we will end up re-signing bosh but i wouldnt be surprised with OKC signing a big name free agent due to the young talent on their roster, and if that pushes Green to the 6th man role the West gets that much more competitive quickly.

Bosh wouldn't be a good fit with this team. I think if we're going to be spenders next summer we shouldn't be looking to make a big splash we should be looking to add solid role players. Two guys that I would be really interested in are Udonis Haslem and Brendan Haywood. Haslem's a great defender, a solid mid range shooter, a good rebounder and a solid pick and roll player. Pair him Collison at PF and we'd have a pretty solid duo. Haywood is a solid defensive center and a big body (7" 265lbs) that can clog up the lane, grab boards, block shots and he isn't completely useless on offense. If we could sign both of those guys or just one, for around 6-7 million a season next summer I think we'll have a really good looking team and a solid big man rotation.

The great thing about Bosh is that he's pretty damn young himself!!!

I don't get why you guys would go after Haslem, he's so mediocore, Presti could find that kinda guy in the draft much cheaper in the late 10s early 20s. Haywood would be a solid fit, Amare + Haywood if you could pull it off would make you guys a filthy ass team.

If the team can string together around 40-45 wins, then I have to believe management would be interested in signing someone of Bosh's caliber for that inside presence that we just don't have now.

Bosh won't provide inside presence. His low post game is really weak, most of his points come from 10-20 footers and a few from driving layups.

Chris Bosh would want to sign in a big market team like LA or New York. But if the thunder do really well this year, he may consider signing with them.

Stick with what you have.. Bosh is one of the worst defenders and cant rebound well. Sure, he can dump points in high volume, were all aware of that fact. Kevin Durant can too - and he plays defense. You have a first option that plays just as hard on defense as he does on offense. Why add another first option that doesn't? I'll take Amare and Wade over Bosh if were going to shell out money.

IMO Chris Bosh and Iggy are both not centerpiece players.

Haslem isn't anything special but he's a great defender, solid rebounder and a good mid range shooter all things that we need in a post player. I really don't think we need to go after a guy like Amare we have enough scorers we just need some soild role player at PF and C.

In an universe where Kevin Durant plays defense, Chris Bosh is DPOY.

Wait, you've just put Iggy and Bosh in the same category... riiiight...

I've got to agree with you on both points... Durant is an okay defender, I guess. But definitely nothing more than that. I think the argument could be made that he is a fairly poor defender right now (haven't looked at any stats to back that up though).

Bosh is a franchise kind of guy to me. I like him, I just don't really think he's the guy to solve all of the problems for our team. I do think that lately a lot of people are putting Bosh on the same level as a guy like Iggy. Bosh (to me) is definitely a max player. Iggy could be a max player in the right situation and if the right team wanted to take a gamble on him being their man. Philly's paying a lot for the guy, and he does some great stuff, he's just not a lead role type of player.

I actually like your team... I'd trade Bosh for Durant in a heartbeat regardless of the contracts. I also like how the team is built, young, high-potential guys who are already good as they are. Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Green; that's a great core. I just didn't like him making bold statements as "Bosh can't rebound. He doesn't play D" etc. Good luck next year.

btw, I agree about Bosh, if you're going to keep on playing Green at the four, you need a defending and rebounding beast at the five. Bosh is neither.

Wow you'd trade Bosh a jump shooting PF who is 5 years older and making 11mil a year more than Durant?

You are too kind.

I'd trade TMAC for Brandon Roy too regardless of contracts.

Or maybe Shaq for D Howard regardless of contracts.

Durant is one of the best values in the league of course you would trade Bosh for him. So would Colangelo if he had a chance.

Easy Wiff,

first of all, you're exaggerating the difference between Bosh/Durant by comparing Shaq and T-Mac to Roy and Dwight BIG time. Especially since Bosh is in Dwight's running lane and considered the next best young big.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure he meant that he'd even trade Bosh for Durant if they were making the exact same $$ when he said 'regardless of contract.' Not every GM in the league would do that. I certainly would though.
