I know he sucks too? I mean, 2 options definitely suck. 1 might not.

abrines made several threes off screens this preseason and even curled around one and hit a floater!

He still is rough defensively, and doesn't bring much else.

I wouldn't be totally against him but I'd rather a guy who has a higher ceiling until Dre is back.

what is hamidou diallo's ceiling?

His ceiling is high, but his floor is also very low. He is one of those rare players where you can see him being out of the league in a few years or becoming a star. I think a realistic ceiling is a similar impact player to Roberson. A very good defender, although not arguably the best in the NBA like Roberson was pre-injury, but with better ball handling. I don't see him developing his shooting to a level of being a 3&D guy. Maybe a bigger Marcus Smart without the PG ball handling. Maybe Iguodala as a straight comparison ceiling. Iguodala has never been a great shooter, but did improve through his career. Actually the more I think about it the more I like the Iguodala ceiling. I think I'll stick with that one.

It's going to be interesting when diallo gets some pt and sucks, which he will because he's a 20 year old rookie picked 47th, and what The perception of him will be afterward.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

i think both of these comps are extremely ambitious.

I get a Deshawn Stevenson vibe out of him.

A guy that hasn't been talked about a lot is Abdul Gaddy. I really like what he showed in the preseason. 6'4 ball handler who didn't make very many mistakes. Looks like he was comfortable and in control when he was out there. I would welcome the 6'4 guard to our roster if a spot opens for whatever reason. I just like the kid.
