He's starting to find his midrange shot back though so it gives me a bit of optimism (maybe he wasn't in shape yet after missing training camp and his ankle sprain).

Yeah, MB. Point still stands. His Ft went in to a nose dive after the rule changes, and it seems pretty obviously mental with him. He doesn't look out of shape to me. He's as big as he's ever been, maybe not as cut, but his bigger frame fits his play-style more.

Holy crap. I knew he'd be the first player with a retired number. Fan (and organization) favorite was worth a lot to him as it turned out.

If a guy was a fan favorite and Iarge part of the franchises’ history I’ve got not problem with retiring his number despite not being an all star.

yeah. there's something about being first though. the mavs did this too with brad davis. a so-so pg who played there in the 80's. they could have waited a bit and made rolando blackman the first, which would have been more appropriate.

i don't disagree with nick getting his jersey retired it just would have been better had someone a bit better than him been the first. there's no time limit on this.
