I get the impression that's over, may be out of Presti's price range.

Yeah, think we can put it to rest. Coincidentally, I actually think he fits even better now. Too bad there's no way around Kanter's awful deal.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I think the same. Gay wants to play in OKC but the salary gap with other offers is probably too big.

Probably Gay's last chance at a big pay day. I don't blame him for going for the money.

Fully agree. In an NBA where guys such as Miles Plumlee and Solomon Hill received contracts north of $50M just one offseason ago, this was an absolute steal.

Marcus Smart would be huge btw. He has serious limitations but still a great backup.

So what point guard should we target, guys?

Available UFAs: http://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/ufa/point-guard/available/

Rondo
Rodriguez
Felton
Rose?
Mack
Ennis

Edit: After looking at some stats (Player Comps via BBRef)

Looks like the picks of the litter are Ennis, Rondo, and Rodriguez.

Read on Twitter

I really believe he's talking about the thunder. Doesn't make sense Houston/Celtics since they were already pretty good.

Still don't think we are the second best team but he recognizes good players/good fit so we are in the right direction ;)

Rondo would be the best but worry about his personality and influence. Lawson, Canaan are other guys I'd look at.

My friend who is a diehard Celtics fan is an absolute NBA guru and he seems to think we’ll end up with either Bradley or Smart. Can’t tell if this is him talking intelligently or if he’s just annoyed at the fact they have to essentially “give away” a quality player for nothing.

I really doubt that this is how the backup PG spot will be filled. I think they get a PG with the 4.9 million dollar TPE that's left over from the Ilyasova deal.

From what I heard Celtics are trying to dumb Marcus Smart so... we will see who will be the lucky team. Come home Marcus!

I really trust that Presti is making calls right now. I don’t see them dumping him in-conference, so we’d make a ton of sense. Give them the Bulls 2nd round pick too. I don’t really care about it.

He's probably trying, but he's not the only one. We will see.

Only 2 moves but this offseason is crazy good. But I still feel insecure because it seems that Westbrook won't extend this year, which means a lot of headache if OKC is not doing good this year.

One thing about Presti, you can always count on him to be active. Seems like OKC is also at the forefront of controversial/surprising deals. A lot of teams rarely do anything. Draft a player, have a good summer.

For my cap people - does OKC benefit from Westbrook waiting until maybe later in the offseason to sign the extension? Or does it make no difference at all because it doesn't kick in until next year?

Agreed. I think Russ stays. Can’t really see a scenario where he doesn’t.

I know someone who’s part of the media in OKC and they seem to be very confident he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Can’t tell ya who they aren’t for obvious reasons, but you’ll just have to take my word for it

Nope, capped either way. I don't know if he's either not signing, or just waiting, or what.

Well that's disheartening. He needs to sign so I can buy Westbrook memorabilia without worry that he'll pull a KD.
