This much activity this early before the deadline is unusual compared to the last few years. Tomorrow is the big day. If he we haven't heard anything by 1 pm, I’ll start getiting nervous.

Yeah, but there might not be anything good left by tomorrow with the speed things are going.

Players left that would really help OKC

Mirotic
Temple
Holiday
Ross
Prince
Satoransky
Green
Morris (whichever one plays for Washington)
Moore
Daniels
Ellington
Matthews

And that’s just off the top of my head. There is plenty left out there

Outside of trades involving Melo, no leaks really ever come out of OKC.

Yes but it involves two sides. How does Presti make sure the other side doesn’t leak?

Hard to tell but it's true. And the Melo trade only leaked because of his no trade clause

I'm still pessimistic about our chances to make a deal though

They just moved Porter. They aren't moving Beal. Even if they were moving Beal OKC wouldn't have anywhere near enough to offer. Porter would have been nice, but OKC lacked the expiring contract(s) to get it done. OKC has no chance at Jrue or AD.

I was kidding...

But the idea that they won't trade Beal because they just moved Porter is false. They said yesterday they wouldn't trade to get worse and they did the opposite today. They have no other option than tanking for a while with Wall being out so many time. But yeah we don't have enough to offer compared to other teams.

Trading Beal doesn't make sense given the length of his contract and his age. I do expect them to make one more small move to get completely out of the tax. If Beal was 28 instead of 25 that would be a different story. Then again, they might really like the baby Lakers and send Beal to play with LeBron for Ingram, Hart and Kuzma.

He will be an expiring when John Wall comes back healthy and they are clearly not going to contend any time soon. They could get a lot of value by moving him this offseason with 2 more years on his deal

So Otto Porter had nothing but neutral value? Ouch.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Otto Porter returned less in value then Harrison Barnes. Porter is literally Barnes if he was good at all.

Pels got Markieff AND a SRP for Wesley Johnson. The lux tax is an evil mistress.

Then we sign Ellington in the buy out market and we are good to go.

They are not moving Beal. They dipped under the Tax and they are gonna try to do a quick re-build.

Said it before on here and it was dismissed: Green would be a really nice achievable piece on our squad. Wiz now missing their 2nds between 2019-2023 (they have the bulls 2nd in 2023). I'd trade a 2nd for Green in a heartbeat.
