Not exciting? Zach Randolph that can play above the rim and block shots! Sorber is very exciting. My favorite Presti pick since Chet.

Lol this draft is about to be the best of all time, just like every other year.

I hated the Cason pick. I wanted Lively. Both are good players and Cason fits well for OKC, but Lively would have mitigated the need to spend for IH. I also wasn't thrilled with the Topic pick when it was announced, although I was really high on him through the process the combination of injury and lack of wingspan had me completely convinced we weren't drafting him so I should dislike him. I tend to be much more critical of Presti than anyone else on this board so if I am excited about a Presti pick it is legitimate and not just because they are now part of the organization.

I was talking about player comps. Every guy's best case scenario is something like 'Zack Randolph who plays above the rim.' I mean, that's an all NBA player, if you truly believe that's what sorber is then that's a top 2 pick

Let's look at the numbers. Size, shooting percentages, counting stats, etc.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/thomas-sorber-1.html

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/zach-randolph-1.html

Tell me you don't see the comparison. Randolph was picked 19th in his draft not top 2. It's not a player type that goes in the top 5, but can end up having a significant impact on the court.

I've got four names for #24. Rasheer Fleming, Maxime Raynaud, Jase Richardson and Danny Wolf. I did put them in order of preference.

I don't have enough knowledge of this guy to make any comparison, I'm not even saying you're wrong. I just think if you honestly believe this guy is that then he should've been the 2nd best player on your draft board and only because flagg is ultra hyped. I know you were high on essengue, so what projection do you have on him?

If Jase is there and we don't take him I'm going to be bummed. I'm not even sure if I think he's going to be a good nba player, but if not it's going to be purely because of physical limitations.

Surprised we didn’t dump Dieng in the trade as well.

OKC could potentially have five picks in 2027.

Seems fair enough. Always a little wary trading a known pick for one that might not convey, but this seems like a solid bet.

i think the sorber pick is decent but uninspired, but that came as a result of the nba just showing up a lot smarter than they generally are, that was a killer run at 9-14 a lot of teams really did it right with their picks and trades - prioritizing uniqueness, intensity and impact across multiple game situations over archetypes in this draft's sweet spot.

the memphis trade up for coward was such a disgustingly fantastic move. they probably got okc at bay from moving up (specially since 2026 is supposed to be an even better class than 2025)

despite not in love with the demin pick i loved what the nets did specially with their later round picks... traore's got huge upside. ben saraf is another of those jumbo guards run pass shoot dribble iq guy... they are doing some presti-y picks.

the heat is going to turn jakucionis into a star

oh and the sorber pick

it does improves thunder's leverage on some hartenstein/jaylin/2nd apron ducking situations.

Sorber is a decent pick. Now we have a ton of size to throw on teams like Dallas.

We are probably going to be the same team next season, more or less. Internal development once again will be key factor.

feels like every NBA draft analyst love the Thunder pick. Let's see...I guess it's a smart move long term to draft a big. Gives us a 2-3 years window to develop him.

For me the pick is ok. Would have prefer Coward. But Sorber is ok . Beringer would have be also a good pick in my eyes.

from what I read/listen most NBA draft experts had Sorber in the 10-12 range but he's currently dealing with foot issues. Second year in a row Presti stealing a bit of value and being ok gambling with the medicals? (of course not as serious as Topic)

surprised Dieng is still a Thunder. Is Presti still in love with the kid?

Sam Vecenie openly admitted he knew OKC liked Sorber a lot. Presti isn't working in silence anymore, good old days are gone.
