I expect them both to sign max extensions this off-season with langue in them that bumps them from 25% to 30% if they meet the qualifications. That is typical. Chet might just sign a straight 25% since he is unlikely to hit the 30% qualifier, but I fully expect the 30% bump language in JDub's contract since he made an all-NBA team this year. Chet is significantly less likely to make an all-NBA team next year, but if he plays 70 games he could win defensive player of the year.

Denver uses that cap savings for Hardaway Jr and Bruce Brown. I do not buy that they are better than last year.

Never mind, I missed the Valanciunas signing, that does make them better.

Denver and Houston have buffed themselves up although I do think Houston got worse defensively so will be interesting to see how that team performs.

Denver is better for sure. Houston probably need some help in their backcourt.

Don't know if you've seen the reports that have popped up since this post, but apparently Valanciunas is trying to get out of his NBA contract so that he can play overseas.

I assume this would void the deal with the Kings and Saric's rights would return to Denver.
