Yeah won't impact us at all. We can still sign a player though and get less than 23 millions left that would be distributed between the players (that's a lot of money for some of our guys).

Right on. But, if we sign somebody - that would count against our cap space, right? If we just pay the current players extra cash, then we still go into the offseason with the same amount of cap space that we have right now?

If we don’t get a star in the draft this year, we either trade shai and extend the bottoming out process or become a treadmill team.

Seriously speaking, trading Shai before the 2023 draft is the most likely scenario unfortunately (except if he plays at an elite level next season so we can think about moving picks to build around him).
