This does not surprise anyone that has been paying attention to Thunder basketball through Russ' career. I do wish he would have waited a week for Russ to be traded before he started spewing the truth out there. However, the teams chasing Russ are so desperate that it probably doesn't change anything. Hopefully, Russ will be on the Heat in 24 hours to boost the value of our 2021 draft pick from them, it could probably get the protections removed on the 2023 pick and get us an unprotected 2025 pick...might even get pick swaps in 2022 and 2024. LAC pick swaps are 2023 and 2025.

Super glad that the team has blown it up. It really fits your loser mentality.

But of course we'll be back here the night of the 2020 NBA draft and you'll still be unhappy with literally everything I'm sure. You should be more like Drake, just stan front runners your whole sports fan career.

Kizz annoys me too sometimes. But this is uncalled for.

You're right.

Kizz, I'm sorry. It's just really difficult to read the constant negativity. I get the contrarian angle and even agree with you now on some things that I didn't. But just because I mostly disagree doesn't mean I should personally attack you. I apologize for that.

Feels like a long time since we've had a fun summer league team. Today had some moments in terms of exciting individual plays. The sheer volume of bricks just weighed the whole experience down.

What's that? That I should get ready for some better Summer league now that we're going to be presumably drafting higher and getting better players?

I don't take it personally. A lot of people are having a hard time coping with this new Thunder reality. I am one of the few is enjoying this, but that is because I saw the team different than a lot of people for the last three years. I'm just waiting to see how much value Presti can extract out of a desperate Riley who is wanting to make one last run before he retires. I think Presti will take him to the cleaners like he did LAC.

I think it was probably time given the Salary Cap prison we were in (though I would have liked to give it one more go now that Golden State is at least out of the way) but I feel like saying 'I'm enjoying it' is just tempting fate a little too much. [oh yeah, how about missing the playoffs for 10 years then?']

It depends on why we are missing the playoffs. If Presti drafts no shooters over the next 4 drafts I'll be calling for his head harder than I was last month. That is really my only concern is that Presti drafts a ton of athletic freaks who can't shoot and they are scrappy, but can never get anywhere because better teams just out shoot them.

It would be nice if Presti got a shooting coach for these players while they are young. We should hire Chip from San Antonio.

Correct answer is: that's nasty

Reasonable take. I can see more teams talking them into the idea of a MVP all round machine to make their team better. Give it a week or two, we all might be entirely surprised.

As a result of talks at that workout we find out in about 12 hours that Russ is headed to the Knicks for some insanely stupid offer and everyone wonders how Presti pulled it off. Barrett, DSJ, Knox, 2021 and 2023 Dallas first round picks, 2020, 2022, 2024 and 2026 NYK first round picks, Bullock and Portis.

This is based on reports that monta and Amar'e want to play for new York, but needed a third Superstar before they'd commit.

I really hope with this rebuild we have a culture reset too. There are obviously some things about the OKC culture that players like. However there have been enough leaks over the years that expose some concerns.

That starts with new people in the front office. It's year 12 and Presti is still going after raw athletes. That's never going to change.
