So I'm planning on making an NBA newsletter collating the best stories of the week and the main bullet points of the week's news.

If any of you are interested in being part of the seed group, PM me your email and I'll sign you up. We'll see how this goes.

I don't know what Patterson's going on about on twitter, but he's a different dude.

If anyone wants this newsletter, it's a thing. It's actually happening now.

I said it, now I have to do it. Friday—be there or be square.

Giving public view to first one might be good. Stating your privacy policy might be nice too. Is going for pay in near term the plan or possibility?

Going for casual marketing to start? Are you eventually going to advertise it 50-200 places, repeatedly? Do you have a target # or whatever happens on its own?

I tweeted out a link to the first.

Privacy policy is: you don't like getting spam, I don't like getting spam, so I don't give out addresses.

Going pretty casual to start and hoping it spreads via word of mouth. Kind of whatever happens on its own. I don't think paying for a newsletter is something that's likely to happen, but as audience builds it may lead to money-making opportunities just by virtue of being better-known. I was going to sit down and hash out a marketing strategy for my basketball stuff this Sunday but it's probably going to have to be tomorrow night now.

I reeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallly hope this is good. Apparently it's a pseudo-sequel to the Dark Tower book series (if you read all the books you know how that could be true—Roland has the Horn of Eld in his bag, you can see it in at least one of the trailer shots). And King tweeted an image of the Horn of Eld with "One Last Time" superimposed on it, so maybe Roland learned his lesson?

I'm not a King fan, but even though they were of variable quality the Dark Tower books had some really interesting stuff.

I'm a big King fan and have read all of his books except the Dark Tower series. Just couldn't get into them but I think I'll try again.

With King, most of his earlier works were good, then his addictions got a hold of him pretty good and some of his mid-career work wasn't as good. Seems like the last decade or so he's gotten back on track.

Stumbled into looking at sone team touch data at NBA.com. Thunder are very low on total touches and very high on dribbles per touch. Lots of Russ. Very high on post, paint and elbow touches but very low on points per these touches. May still be worthwhile but they get less out of it per touch. Have to do it more to get the payoff.

FYI but might do a little writing for WTLC now. I may crowdsource you guys for Thunder trade targets/ideas if you don't mind.

This is going to be talked about more than the game. I don't really care for what he did but the team backed it up.

This was payback for what they did after winning in Norman last year.

Just want to say I know Mayfield was forced to do it, but whoever made him apologize should be ashamed. That was awesome.
