SGA deserves better than this roster of young players and end of the bench level (and both) guys. Dude is a legit superstar. 37 points tonight on 13 of 17 from the floor.

As good as shai has been, If it continues I’m definitely in favor of looking to bring in a key win now piece if it becomes available.

We need to develop guys like him, Mann and Dieng... too many minutes for Dort/Kenrich :(

I really don’t think too much of rotations, especially during a rebuild. But Jalen needs to be playing consistent minutes every night. He’s not an 18 year old. I want Dieng to get minutes but I also think he’ll benefit through the g league. Mann has been a disappointment this year.

Admittedly the only players I feel confident in that role would be Jalen Williams or maybe Dieng but he's a long ways off. I haven't given up on Giddey being more than just a good passer. We also have the ability to trade for a star. At the same time, look at Memphis. They have one true superstar. I think Shai can and is on Ja's level. Who is their number two? Realistically we aren't building a dynasty.

Desmond Bane and it's really amazing since he was like the 30th pick and he's in his third year and he's already all star level or close to all star level. It just goes to illustrate, you can take forever, but the best way to get good fast and cheap if you're a small market is just to get really lucky in the draft. And unfortunately there's no timeline for good fortune.

Yea I agree. I think that’s where I have a hard time with development. We can take all of this time for guys like bazley, poku, Mann, etc. When it’s all said and done, what are we really left with? Maybe a marginal starter on a playoff team? A decent guy for the second unit? That’s a lot of time, effort and even money spent/lost for guys that likely won’t move the needle much.

This is exactly right, and it’s why we need to be as close as possible to the top 3 again this year.

I know the flattened lottery odds hurt, but that should result in a longer rebuild not a shorter one.

if this is close to what sga is long term, the fit with giddey becomes very questionable.

Bazley is talented but lazy and stupid...I don't want him to stay.

Is that "!! !!" meaning 'dude what are you doing trying to get banned from the league' or is it 'yeah Kuz is right. The movie was absolutely right about how Hitler made some strong points.' Because if its the latter I would cut Baze this instant.

Hear me out here...
Send Josh Giddey to the D League for a month so we can let SGA operate without him and get enough wins to make all star.

On an iPhone if you “!!” something it means you emphasized what the person said, not disagreement.

Just remember all, improvement aren’t linear but we do need more minutes for some of these youngsters .

I don't understand, why people are so negative on Giddey in this forum.
I still have the opinion that Josh is a steal in last year's draft. Look at other players from this draft, like Suggs , Bouknight or Mitchell from SAC. Giddey is much better than those players. At number 6 he was the best player we could draft. Let him work on his shooting and don't forget how good he played with Chet in Summer-league.

It's not just this forum. There seems to be a lot of skepticism with thunder fans all over about his long term fit with Shai.

I love Giddey and I'm higher than most people on him. I think he has all star potential. That being said, he's really struggling this season (I was expecting him to take a huge leap :(). I also agree there's some concern about the fit with SGA but I still think it could work...no Dort would help a Giddey/SGA backcourt.

thunder average home attendance this year so far is less than the lame duck sonics season, by % of capacity.

meh, his physical limitations are going to make it tough for him. he has poor athleticism / vertical and among the worst wingspan ratios in the league. every time he tries to finish in traffic he's moving away from the rim, just happened in the detroit game. he's a tough kid but the room for error is smaller for him than, say, kuminga.

Seeing Muscala and Williams look like the best players not named Shai is disheartening.
