I'm so ready for them to end up with nothing. The hubris and entitlement displayed by parts of that fanbase is astonishing.

Us winning it all and them ending up with some scrub would be the best outcome next summer :)

Jackie MacMullan is a fascinating woman, I'd recommend everyone listen to Zach Lowe's podcast with her. She's had an extraordinary career and seems like a genuinely good person.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man, I can't listen to this lean and Xanax-infused mumble rap from kids who look like they should be on The Real World

That’s ok, I will be the grumpy old man here. The rap I listened to growing up in the 70’s and 80’s was powerful, it stood for something, it meant something, and it gave a voice to people who didn’t previously have one. This stuff is, i dont know, lazy and pointless i suppose.

Jackie McMullan is good at some things, average at others, lousy at still others. She has had some very poorly considered player evaluations this season (watch for big things from Winslow & Abrines) and having her lead a basketball analytics panel at the Sloan Conference was an undeserved gift / joke. But almost all the participants in those are underwhelming in delivery of anything but common knowledge and forced middling jokes.

Her longform feature writing is excellent. I'm not concerned about anything beyond that.

Oh she is fine for big picture stories, personality stories or argument at those levels. Better than most overall. Decidedly old school though.
