sga is better than donovan mitchell already. mitchell is a bubble hoax, like jamal murray. i don't buy their playoff #'s one bit. sga becoming a league leading FTr-guy obviates whatever advantages mitchell may have elsewhere... which is what, exactly? slightly less turnover prone i guess. mitchell started this season scorching hot from three and, surprise-surprise, sga has him beat there now, as well.

should sga's trajectory hold true to what he has done so far this season he has accomplished what he needed to in order to surpass players like mitchell. so unless you think sga is a fluke i don't see how mitchell should be ahead of him on any ranking at the moment.

oh and of course, sga doesn't get to hide behind the best defensive big of this generation for 90% of his minutes.

More sense to do this against the Cavs some days ago...but yeah pretty nice.

Pretty obvious that i'ts a subtle tank move. Better chance of losing against Denver than Atlanta with Horford playing.

yeah we missed 2-3 better options to tank (resting SGA one game more against the Wolves; not playing Horford against the Cavs) but it's a good move.

Just a reminder that when we haven't won a championship two years from now people will be dogpiling on how shai just isn't good enough. It happens to every young all star who doesn't win a championship by the end of his rookie deal.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

It tends happens before that. Luka gets crapped on daily. When it happens to Shai, it will be a true testament to the fact that he's arrived on a national level. Shai doesn't get the criticism of those guys partly due to his draft position.

We tried to win a Championship during 7-8 years with two bad coaches and now that we need to lose games, we hire a very good one.

Lots of guys looked good tonight. Atlanta’s defense did not.

It's generally 2 years after a guy 'arrives' on the national stage. Celebrated in that first year, hyped into the mvp conversation the 2nd year, absolute overpaid trash by year 3.

I don't think Presti thought our young guys could be that good this season when he decided to draft Poku....

this is such an odd take. in his 30-ish games of nba head coaching experience, what has mark 'd' done to receive such praise?

Just think our defensive system is pretty solid and I'm not sure if the credit is on coach D or the coaching staff but overall they are doing a pretty good job.

Also never seen so many young players playing with such a high confidence. It wasn't the case with Billy D.

I have no issue with teams hitting 66% from three against us.

Yeah would be nice to give Jerome & Theo as much playing time as possible (not only for the tank).

I have no idea how we will be able to develop so many young players next year with 3-4 drafted guys / Vasilije Micic and Poku.
