Presti admits he's dumber than half the posters here that knew Hayward was a tanking move. He's so dumb he even admits he thought Hayward would improve the team. Will someone please fire this idiot already. It's one thing if you are going to do it to free roster spaces and cap room. It's another if you are so stupid and have such little understanding about basketball that you think it's something to improve your team. This is the type of stuff I would expect to come out of a first year GM's mouth, not someone that is supposed to be a great GM with years of experience.

"I missed on that," Presti said Tuesday at his end-of-season news conference. "That's on me. But I'm learning, I'm trying to learn this team, I'm trying to learn the pace of the team a little bit. And trying to be a great observer of the team as it's going through its paces, knowing that it's really going to change on its own in and of itself."

Ahhh...but Hayward had intangibles that would appeal to the OKC home crowd!
As for the Minny puppies rolling over so Kyrie and Luka could rub their bellies.
They were what i thought they were ; Not scary, not big dogs but chokers.
If only OKC had drawn them and the mavs the nugs.

Enlighten us all on what those intangibles would be. No OKC fans want bad players. They want good players. Please don't start with your racist garbage. When I was living in OKC I worked with black people who had moved there from all over who were shocked at how OKC was the least racist place they had ever lived. I even had a guy from NOLA who couldn't believe the number of interracial couples he saw walking around and no one batted an eye or treated them poorly as he was accustomed to. OKC has more black people, per capita, than Los Angeles, Boston, Minneapolis and Seattle (by over double). In Oklahoma people are judged by their character not their skin. Perhaps you should stop running your mouth about places you have never been and know nothing about.
You want to see racism in America go to California, Washington (State or DC), NY and Illinois.

Primary goal of the Hayward trade was to clear up more cap space for this summer. It was clear then and its clear now.
The secondary goal, a close secondary goal IMO, was to get a rotation worthy vet. This clearly did not work out.

Why clear cap space for this summer? Do you honestly think Presti is going to land one of the max FA players on the market? Even if that was the goal there were clear rotation worthy veterans that would have accomplished that as expiring contracts. Olynyk, Buddy Hield, Gallinari, etc. There is no excuse for the Hayward trade. Even Presti admitted he was an idiot for making the rookie move and said, in relation to the move, that he is still learning. It was a move that no one can make an argument to justify and of all the stupid moves by the illiterate noob over the last 12 months that was the worst.
