Another thing I saw a couple of days ago: The Warriors actually got called for moving screens. :o

I'd laugh so hard if the league change to the way moving screens are called ruined Draymond's career.

Im gonna praise Diallo along with everyone, excellent role player prospect, Trevor Ariza with more athleticism alike, but will disagree about counting out Burton.

Great 2/3/4 tweener, can guard multiple positions off the bench, and is pretty high IQ guy, not hesitant to take the right shots and not afraid of the moment obviously, thats how Reggie blossomed out of nowhere. Give him time to adjust.

Berry, ever tried stone crabs in Florida? fuggetaboutit. Daryl Morey is my idol. Do you think Houston has any chance to land Jimmy B from Minnesota before the season begins? If so, does that make them an instant favorite to win the Western conference? Man I love Daryl Morey.

Berry Tramel replied:
Yes, I had some stone crabs on Miami Beach. Not bad. I don't see the path for Houston to get Jimmy Butler. But I didn't see the path for OKC to get Paul George. So anything is possible.

Hmm...

Hamicide was great. He has that hunger to make things happen, which is so important to being a successful NBA player. Can't wait to see how he grows this year.

More specifically, the team that faces the Warriors in the season opener ends up beating the Warriors out of nowhere that night. Then later that season, they go into the WCF and start competing with the Warriors out of nowhere, only for their best player to get injured indefinitely, upon which the Warriors end up taking the series.

San Antonio: Kawhi Leonard (29 point blowout on opening night, 20+ point lead in Game 1 before Zaza stuck out his leg)
Houston: Chris Paul (1 point win on opening night, 3-2 series lead when CP3 injured his hamstring)
Oklahoma City: Russell Westbrook? :(

After the preseason, I'm gonna have to go with Hamidou Diallo.

If he were 2 inches taller he'd have been a first round pick. But alas, he isn't and wasn't. He's got a pudgy stretch four's body on a SG's legs.

Doesn't fit my expectations but saw Schroder has best cumulative raw plus minus in league for pre-season. George and Adams also in top 10. fwiw.

Adams,#2 on ORebs. Then Sabonis, Kanter, Noel.

George #1 on ftas / gm. Needs to play that way with & without Russ.

Average offense. Top 5 defense. #1 on team rebounding. Bottom 5 on assists. Average 3 pt shooting. #2 on blocks.

About 6 guys have played well, individually and / or raw team results. After that it is mostly meh to bad.

Backup PG (without Russ) has been weak.

Yea, I'm optimistic, team looked ready even without Russ.
Dont remember when we played this well without our main guy.
And its obvious now we got an huge upgrade over Melo with Dennis, all those chatters about him are shutted down strong.

And finaly, a locked team for next few years, now we need some luck and avoid injuries, and see what this team is capable of for next 2 years, enjoy the group, and then possibly do a rebuild in 2021.

I think I'd be interesting to put that into perspective with regard to mast season's team stats.

You say Paul George needs to get to the line a lot with Russ? Let’s just hope Russ decides to spread the ball around a bit more. If he can come out shooting better this season, I wouldn’t say that, but the first half of the season was subpar for Russ.

I don't understand how what you're saying correlates. George shooting more FTs of course would be a good thing, in general.
Looking at the stats, it looks like he was better than I thought. He was 31st in total drives, but 9th in total fga on drives. He was 14th in total fga and 14th in total fga overall. You'd probably still want him better at drawing fouls, because among the Top 50 in total fga, he was just 22nd in FTr. Even just one or two percentage points could make a lot of difference for the team's offense.

Even if you think he’s wrong, let’s let thunder culture mold him.
