Another thing I saw a couple of days ago: The Warriors actually got called for moving screens.

Berry, ever tried stone crabs in Florida? fuggetaboutit. Daryl Morey is my idol. Do you think Houston has any chance to land Jimmy B from Minnesota before the season begins? If so, does that make them an instant favorite to win the Western conference? Man I love Daryl Morey.

Yes, I had some stone crabs on Miami Beach. Not bad. I don't see the path for Houston to get Jimmy Butler. But I didn't see the path for OKC to get Paul George. So anything is possible.

More specifically, the team that faces the Warriors in the season opener ends up beating the Warriors out of nowhere that night. Then later that season, they go into the WCF and start competing with the Warriors out of nowhere, only for their best player to get injured indefinitely, upon which the Warriors end up taking the series.
San Antonio: Kawhi Leonard (29 point blowout on opening night, 20+ point lead in Game 1 before Zaza stuck out his leg)
Houston: Chris Paul (1 point win on opening night, 3-2 series lead when CP3 injured his hamstring)
Oklahoma City: Russell Westbrook?

I think I'd be interesting to put that into perspective with regard to mast season's team stats.jambalaya wrote:Doesn't fit my expectations but saw Schroder has best cumulative raw plus minus in league for pre-season. George and Adams also in top 10. fwiw.
Adams,#2 on ORebs. Then Sabonis, Kanter, Noel.
George #1 on ftas / gm. Needs to play that way with & without Russ.
Average offense. Top 5 defense. #1 on team rebounding. Bottom 5 on assists. Average 3 pt shooting. #2 on blocks.
About 6 guys have played well, individually and / or raw team results. After that it is mostly meh to bad.
Backup PG (without Russ) has been weak.

You say Paul George needs to get to the line a lot with Russ? Let’s just hope Russ decides to spread the ball around a bit more. If he can come out shooting better this season, I wouldn’t say that, but the first half of the season was subpar for Russ.

Come hell or high water, I will stand by my Jimmy Butler take!
