Help! I'm an NBA coach that has no idea how to play against a zone. It's not like that is what Miami used the previous game or what they have been doing all season.
Tied with the Spurs now. The cushion is completely gone now. Now it comes down to what teams have the better record.
Kyle Lowry might not play in the Toronto games. It might not matter with this team.
Oh and Dennis Schroeder still sucks. That turnover he had where he lost the ball and it went down his back was comedy.
Watching these guys trying horrible ways to attack a zone was a Shakespeare tragedy. Throwing floaters isn't the way to attack a zone you idiots. It's like no one had any idea what to do when the game started. They could easily beat Miami's gimmick defense by moving that ball but that's like asking a three year old to give a lecture on astrophysics.
Its all on B.Donovan again.
I actually dont care much. Its another lost season.
Small market team, deep in luxury tax, one of the highest payroll.. Another 1st round exit seen in the horizon.
Billy's team can only win when they have superior talent. (PG+WB+all other good pieces)
But they also need to play with high effort.
And even if they play with high effort to a team like Washington etc games going to 4th quarter.
Meanwhile you can watch how Raptors games, GSW games and others played out. Half of their wins= 1 good quarter + cruising.
Schedule is tough so no one should expect home court advantage for 1st round.
Moreover, team would still compete to win games and they'll be exhausted in playoffs.
I'd rather rest guys like WB-PG-Adams more in next games and try to finish 7th or 8th and play with Denver.
OKC would have more chance to beat GSW with rest compared to playing with Rockets-Jazz with exhausted starting 5.
B.Donovan's incompetence shown in many instances. How can you trust him for a playoff series? Like last year against Jazz he wont be able to counter a move of opposing coaches.
If I'm in ownership group I'd blame Sam Presti for this too.
