burton sucks. ferguson hasn't looked as good as he's looked at his peak this year but he's still a much better option than burton or diallo.

Have you seen Burton play? We would be winning so many of these games with him on the floor. He can shoot anywhere, defends like like crazy, passes like a PG, drives like a bull and is built like Zion.

How about we play him over Nader? Anytime Burton has stepped on the hardwood he's done amazing things.

nader, burton, and diallo are all interchangeable to me. they all suck.

Diallo sucks. Nader sucks but is improving. Burton can actually play. You mentioned his defense, but Burton plays pretty good defense. Ferguson is good, but he's too weak and gets in to foul trouble. He's also useless on offense where we're struggling the most.

But Ferguson aside, can we give Naders minutes to Burton and see what happens, if anything?

I've only been half watching this game because I've been mostly watching he NCAA tourney games. I just noticed we had 3 PGs out there in the 3rd qtr with no Ferguson on the floor. Did Billy Donovan actually make a lineup adjustment for a change or is Ferg hurt or in foul trouble?

I won't even comment this utter nonsense. The guy's exceptional defender. Exceptional.

you've gleaned this from his 200 minutes of nba playing time? or did you watch him in korea? burton was benched earlier in the year because of consecutive defensive gaffes against the pelicans and hasn't seen much meaningful playing time since then. he can make athletic defensive plays which is enough to fool some casuals into thinking he's talented defensively, but he's not.

Billy made an 'adjustment' - he found a way to make the rotation worse than it already was.

burton fouls more per possession than ferguson does, and obviously against much weaker average competition. burton can't shoot, he's barely over 30% in the g-league from three and below 30% in the nba. you're falling into the same trap that people did with diallo earlier in the year and over the summer- he makes some athletic plays at the rim. big whoop. he can't shoot and doesn't defend so it doesn't matter for us in the starting sg role. same is true for diallo.

Schröder really taking over.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

This would be a really embarassing loss.

Yes i have. No one is blowing by this guy. And one thing i've noticed, anytime he's around, the opposing player either misses, makes a turnover, throws a stupid pass, or something else he does not want to do. He has that kind of defensive effect.

I was a guard for 15 years, and these type of players, short and strong (not those skinny, athletic ones) were always a true nightmare. Burton is that kind of build. He has that special kind of low, static strength that you can't move or shake. Too bad Billy Donovan doesn't recognize that.

But it's fine if you think otherwise. We'll just play Ferguson ad nauseum. And loose to Dallas...

I give him credit for at least trying something different because clearly the Ferguson project has been a complete disaster.

The thing that bugs me the most is watching coaching stubbornly stick with something that's clearly not working.

But he's unwilling to play Burton. We already know what Felton is, we've seen it for years.

And now when Schroder is catching fire Billy decides to bench him for Felton...

Andre Robersons return will be Presti’s sales pitch this coming offseason since “continuity” didn’t work.

This team sucks so bad!!!

We're going to lose to the Doncic-less Mavericks at home with our playoff lives on the line!!

There is something so ridiculously internally wrong with this team you can't do anything but just tear it down at start over. Or, at the very least, definitely fire Donovan (who should've been gone after last year) and hope Presti can finally find a coach who can wrangle Westbrook.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Why can't we win a game when Westbrook is shooting well?

Ferguson played 19 minutes. Did I miss something? Donovan giving up on him?

Yeah, he's feeling Felton more now.

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
