melo looks rejuvenated. he might surprise a lot of people. the PNW is a fountain of youth for washed bigs like jerome kersey, or terry cummings. you guys don't know who they are, though.

I think you had similar comments about Melo in Houston to start the year last year, no?
Edit- nevermind. Lol.

I had Terry Cummings in my 2k MyTeam once. He was like 84 overall and he sucked.

Still Me7o on the defensive end for sure.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

4-14, team worst -20 - that's the stuff.

you're wise enough to know the pitfalls of single game, individual +/-. melo's going to imbue the blazers with his dna.

melo had a career high block percentage and career low turnover percentage in houston.

Well I guess you shouldn’t have praised morey for being quick to rectify his mistakes then.

Warriors and Blazers are going to outtank Presti this season.

the warriors' trajectory is concerning, i wonder how long they can keep steph out for without being too overt. i think the blazers get it together though.

Do you think the PNW could turn back the clock for Russell Westbrook as well or is he beyond hope?

there are plenty of sports psychologists in a hipster town like portland, or seattle. so yes, maybe.

If Russ keeps this up, he's going to be absolutely useless as soon as he leaves the paint.

i mean... yeah. that's been his trajectory for a couple of years.

houston's starters with him are really great, but the ts% of the starters while they are on the court is hilarious:

house 73.5% ts
capela 61.1% ts
harden 69.4% ts
tucker 63.2% ts
westbrook 44.6% ts

talk about carrying a dead weight. jeez. and of course the harden-less lineups are still getting annihilated. it's like our 2016 season in reverse, when we couldn't compete without westbrook in the game... against the rockets in the playoffs. taking harden away from westbrook is a 22pp100 negative swing for houston at the moment.

So what you're saying is that Westbrook sacrifices his own numbers for the good of his teammates? Amazing. What a leader.

if that's what he wants to do he should stop shooting completely.

Agreed. He can't be taking 11 shots outside 8 ft and make 28 % of them. You could get a random G-League scrub to put up those kind of numbers.

The warriors dynasty of the last few years needed a few more first round picks.

The russ/Iverson parallels just keep coming.

I don't consider that an insult, even if a lot of the analytics community does. But it's sad how rapid the decline was.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
