IMO Oubre isn't good enough to pay $20mm per. So I would prefer to deal him if we can get something of value back.

this is a good start. i suspect that rubio plays at least this full season, but oubre will certainly be traded before the deadline. as of right now ricky's $17 million is the biggest 21-22 salary on the books, with sga and bazley the only other serious deals (both still on rookie scale).

this mirrors sam presti's tactics during the initial rebuild. however, it's not likely sga or bazley will resemble any of the thunder best stars so we'll see what's done from there. but the table is set for a lot of cap space that season + a war chest of draft assets.

He’s also an UFA so we risk losing him for nothing if we don’t overpay.

yup.

we now have 17 first round picks through 2026 and I surmise we will only improve our draft capital from here.

oubre jr. should be shipped out at deadline. really scared presti is going to try and turn him into something.

He’s going to golden state for Wiggins.

This just triggered the curse of Sam Hinkie on the Thunder.

I think Wiggins will be okay this season. He's already produced a skosh more than his TWolves days.

Its really amazing what a train wreck Fertitta has managed to turn the Rockets in to in such a short time.

I don't think there is anyways that Green, Rubio and Oubre all stay on the team this year. I don't know if we'll move them all but I think we'll try.

Yeah I guess we may trade one of them. Also a remote chance of S&T Gallo but not really confident about it...

I could see us doing a pick swap with Dallas for either Rubio or Green. Delon Wright didn't really work for them like they had hoped. They could use an upgrade at point guard.

Yeah sounds like fair value. Green would be a decent fit in Dallas.

The rumors about taking players with trade exception to get some asset are a long shot as well...

Delon Wright would be a good fit next to shai. Assuming we want to hide shai on defense as is tradition.

Some of the Dallas fans have talked about trying to open more cap space for next offseason. Green for Wright with a pick swap would fit very well with that line of thinking.

What kind of Pickswap do you want? This year? Next year?

It would need to be this year because of Dallas trading their picks to NY for KP.

Yeah it would have to involve this year. I'd assume it would be a draft night trade that happens if someone has fallen to their pick that you like and feel is worth it.

Ricky, Green and Oubre can be traded for value during the season for sure if the team eats up bad money, that should be the next domino, get more picks and young guys to try
