When both Ball and James have been active, their NetRtG is +2.1. That's a far cry from "very good".

I would certanly rather watch Lebron and the Lakers then the Clippers or the Spurs in the playoffs, but thank God, all this idiotic Lebron is better then MJ crap is finally over now.

It feels like half the damn league is in shambles right now.
Toronto has lost two in a row
Milwaukee has lost 2 in a row including to the Suns
Denver has lost 3 in a row
Portland can't make up ground
Spurs almost go winless on their rodeo trip but have been better now that they are back at home
Warriors getting obliterated by Boston who were previously in shambles themselves
This team...nuff said

Its just weird. Houston may make it all the way up to the 2nd seed just by some many teams losing games and they aren't exactly world beaters either since they can't hold any leads.

I really don't think golden State is unbeatable this year. Their bench is old and bad, cousins is struggling in pick and roll d and I'm not sure how into it KD really is. I think he's got 1 foot out the door and they know it. There is nobody out west okc can't beat. None of Denver's best players aside from milsap have ever played in a playoff game. Houston is hot but not as good as they were last year.

The chance element added by the 3pt chucking is just too big at this point. The Pistons scored 131, 131 and 129 in games in the last couple of weeks. They shot 53/105 from 3 in those games. Now they scored 75 and 74 in back to back games, going 16/71 from 3.

I'd agree there's nobody we can't beat this year (except golden State because come on if you really believe this regular season means anything to them), but there's also nobody that can't beat us.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I have to agree completely.

Because of that I hope we rather finish sixth or seventh than fourth or fifth, even though homecourt would be nice. I hope we avoid the Warriors as long as possible (and have them play at least one tough opponent before we possibly face them).

Everyone laughed at Hawks after the Doncic for Trae deal, but Trae is legit. Depending on how draft shakes out they might have easily won the trade

Yea I was wrong about trae. Huerter and Collins are good too. Atlanta may have found their core in one year. If they hit on their picks this draft then they are going to be really good.

It depends. The pick is top 5 protected and Dallas could easily keep it this year at this point. If Dallas ends up with the #1 pick and gets Zion they will have potentially gotten the best player out of consecutive drafts, assuming Zion lives up to the hype. If Atlanta ends up with a non-lottery pick from Dallas making the playoffs next year Dallas will have done well. Trae is good, but Luka is better. If Dallas has to give up their pick this year, which seems to be about 50/50 right now, then Atlanta might do well depending on how the 6/7 pick works out for them.

I haven't watched NCAA in almost 20 years, but this Duke game was one of the best games I've ever seen. Just awesome...

It's so refreshing watching something other then jacking up 70's threes a game...

I guess I’m in the minority. I like the three point shot. I don’t think today’s nba game is perfect but watching the ball go in the hoop is fun. I would like to see more midrange action return to the game.

Dirk and Flash retiring is hitting me hard. Those were really the last childhood idols I still had to watch play. DWade was my guy in high school, I patented my game completely around him. On top of that I've taken a pretty large step back in my basketball involvement this year and it feels like a severing of a connection with something that helped shape who I am.

Philly not looking good at all so far. Looks like too many cooks in the kitchen paired with questionable depth.

I’ve loved their core since the trade deadline but they just haven’t looked the part. I know Embiid has been hurt but I don’t think that’s the whole story. They just may not be a good fit.

Also, I’m not saying they are the same player by any means but a lot of the things that frustrate me about russ are things I see Embiid do. Seriously, stop jacking threes.

Embiid playing today was a reminder that we must be very careful with PG13

Another victim of the roleplayer whisperer that is Billy Donovan.

Augustin has always been good when starting and awful when not.
